The host managed to see off the challenge from Iran who did take a comfortable lead at the half time break. However, a change of strategy and brilliant attacking display by Ajay Thakur saw Indian team overcame the litmus test. The number one Kabaddi team in the world has manged to justify its tag. Iran and India have in the final for the fifth time in a major international tournament – including the 2010 and 2014 Asian Games, and World Cups in 2004 and 2007.

Congrats to the Indian Kabbadi team . It was a sort of close finish and on TV they showed the last moments and I was bit nervous as India was just few points ahead of Iran but then got the flash news that India won .
