Dear friends!

When I launched this thread on 11-11-2010, I had no idea of how long this will run and how many word will appear in this thread.

Initially only few words were familiar in the Dictionary I had followed and I could move fast through the words and posts.

But soon it became such that most of the words were familiar.

Whether they were already used frequently or whether my continued association with the Sanskrit words made them familiar, I can not say for sure.

Someone had asked whether there will be at least 1000 words in this thread. I had guessed that there may be 2000 at the most.

Now we have already covered 4000 words and twenty more to go. I shall present them tomorrow.

Hope you will continue to use this as an online dictionary in future also!

My elder son started using a funny and funky Tamil phrase after joining I.I.T. Madras.

I asked him whether he knew the meaning of the words he used so freely and liberally.

He said he did not really know the meaning!

So I told him, "Never use a word whose meaning you do not know." :nono:

I think it holds good for everyone of us.
