It's been about 53 years since Loving v. Virginia allowed interracial and interethnic relationships to be out and open without the fear of being imprisoned (or attacked) simply because the person you love is different from you. The percentage of interracial married couples rose from 7.4 to 10.2 in 2016 and that number will likely continue to rise. Just ask the royals. With the concept of identity being more diversified in 2020, it's important to know what the words interracial and interethnic really mean. Race essentially means a grouping of people that have similar genetic traits and interracial means a joining of people from two opposite races. Ethnicity, usually encompasses a shared culture which can contain music, art and traditions. When someone from two different ethnic cultures join in a union, it's called an interethnic relationship.

As a cisgendered hispanic man from Puerto Rico, my experiences dating have always contained components from interracial or interethnic spaces. Even dating a fellow Puerto Rican can have ethnic differences depending where they or myself come from. Dating into different races and ethnicities has always been something I believe in not only for personal growth, but to help break down stereotypes and associations out there. Here are the reasons why interracial and interethnic dating are the best. Besides, who wants to date someone that looks like them?!

You Learn How To Be More Empathetic

Often times, we don't have the concepts of race or culture at the top of our thoughts and it's easy to forget what privileges we navigate the world with. When you're dating someone from a different race, you're able to see the difference in privileges in real-time and can have a better understanding. Instead of reading about someone who has experienced a form of racism on the news, when it happens to our partner, it hits home and can help us empathize on a whole new level. It lessens our own individual fragilities and lets us look at the world through our partners eyes. It won't make you understand what your partner goes through on a daily basis as if you were living in their shoes, but it will help you understand and (hopefully) learn to be more sensitive.

You Show The World That It's O.K.

By dating interracially, you basically tell the world that it is O.K. What's better than quelling racist and promoting diversity in just one Instagram post? By normalizing a certain behavior, we allow others to view it as more common. It's also a great lesson to children on how diversity can showcase the beauty in differences. Even though a survey form the Pew Research Center from 2017 says only 9% of people disagree with interracial coupling, it's still very important to showcase your love to your partner with pride.

You Don't Let Societal Racism Win

Dating interracially is different than dating someone from the same race as yourself. There's no getting around it, interracial couples don't have the same experiences in the world. You might get looks, comments and even slurs, but the important thing is that you don't let that enter your relationship. Never let outside influences dictate who you love...whether it's someone of a different color, culture, identity or the same sex.

This is social engineering which is being programmed for the masses by certain ethnicity to destroy every race and every culture in this world. Those with no proper roots are easy to be controlled. And that is what the ruling elite want, controllable and malleable populus.
I live in western Europe and all the ad. bill boards promote white woman and black man, clothing lines promote the same etc. etc. Its not uncommon to see white women falling for this and marrying black men. The result often leads to divorce, as differences of IQ, race and culture do come up. Children are mongrels. The rulers want lower IQ people to be easily controlled. By such mixes, the IQ drops by 15 %. Black IQ on average is 80 and white IQ is 100+. The same people have been pushing this agenda with our film industry in India. Hence you see a lot of mixed marriages. Children will owe no patriotic feeling or belonging to any one culture or country. The ruling elite in the world don't mix and marry. They arrange the marriages for getting stronger progeny to control us.
I have come to this conclusion after 25 years of research in many fields. Study the Flynn IQ curve.
The IQ of people generally is dropping anyway, so this will accelerate it faster. Dumbed down sheep is perfect for some people.
In the vedic times Manu prescribed marriages of what was ideal to get good progeny. There was the principle of Anilo and Prathilo- if mixed what was good and what was bad. This was also done to elevate the status of women. Our ancestors were not fools.

It came into being roughly 1,800 years ago, around the period that saw yagna-based Vedic Hinduism transform into temple-based Puranic Hinduism.

Unlike Vedas, which are called shruti, that which is heard, and considered timeless divine revelations, Manusmriti or Manava-dharma-shastra, is a smriti (that which is recollected): the work of man, subject to change with time (kala), place (sthan) and participants (patra).

The compilation of these shastras by brahmins began roughly during the reign of the Mauryan emperors. Initially, they were composed as prose and, to aid memorisation, sentences were short and terse. These were the sutras. Later, prose gave way to poetry (shloka).


It is an outdated and outlived document. If you practice some of the items prescribed today you will be in jail, and rightfully so.

Vedic times there was no caste system, for all you know Sanatan Dharma started somewhere outside of present-day India.

Manusmriti was never the source of what is it accused of. It was merely documenting an already prevalent social practice. It was never dogma for all Hindus, but a code for brahmins. Perhaps, it would have been forgotten, lost in libraries, meant for specialist scholars only, had the British not resurrected it as an instrument to help them rule their colony.

The average gap between African American and white IQs is narrowing, which some ascribe to greater access to higher education but more study is needed to understand it.

Agree with you. More and more data suggests, race has nothing to do with IQ. Given good opportunities, every community has excelled in academics, and science and technology areas. And we see this more today as all communities are focussed on excelling in studies and join in tech jobs.

And, say, If farming community kids never study and enter into higher studies, how can anyone say they are not intelligent?? They are just not in the playing field.

In the USA, non white immigrants have already displaced the so called great whites in high tech jobs. So how comes the great high IQ whites are suddenly being outplayed by immigrants ?? So they lost their IQ or oh, they were wrongly claimed as high IQ in the past when they had no competition !! LOL

I am not a scholar in this topic (or any topic for that matter!) but to make conclusion based on an English translation by a Christian_Britisher of an Hindu religious_ethnic_social document is dangerous. Here is a comment from one researcher in one of the links provided before:

Again, there is always the thought of men Vs women and that will continue until the end of this world. I guess the concepts such as ArdhaNariswara, Siva vs Parwati dance demonstrate that ambivalence.

The main topic of this thread is Interracial and inter-ethnic dating etc. They all boil to economics, educational level, mobility etc. The poorer we are we cling to religion more. In US, we see that division as Blue Vs Red states, abortion rights Vs right to life (with both sides going to extremes), only Christians will go to heaven and so on. In Yugoslavia, Marshal Tito tried to merge the different ethnicities by rewards and so on. The big city folks who were anyway open to such concepts welcomed those rewards and benefited but not those in rural areas. I, living in USA with a granddaughter who is half American Irish, will wonder / worry if the balkanization of this country is also on the cards or even underway. But then I tell myself there is no point in worrying well into the future when we are all a dot in this universe. Even the concept of saying the names of our forefathers seems more like an ego.
