Want to learn Mandolin

Hi,

I would like to learn Mandolin instrument. I don't have any basic knowledge in carnatic music. Even though, I want to learn mandolin. Somehow, I attracted with this instrument.

I am in Chennai,Tamil Nadu, India. Anybody knows, who teach mandoling instrument. I don't want to go to 'Mandolin' Srinivas. Because, He is a legend, I should not go to him without having a basic carnatic/mandolin knowledge.

Please guide me.

like you, i too would not go to srinivas. for the very same reasons.

i would go to the guy who taught srinivas.

There is no harm in approching srinivas with a request to guide you to a proper teacher. Once you have decided to learn, you should use every steping stone to achieve your goal. Eagar to hear that you started learning mandolin. Best of luck
