Vigrahas made of Silver, Panchaloga, Spadiga, Karungali Wood and so on are precious.

There is nothing about Brass.Above all Mentally and Physically pure hearted need not bother.

Even I am seeing Varalakshmi Amman Face made of Silver are maintained in Pooja Rooms by our elderly ladies.

So nothing to worry.

Without ascertaining the intent of the OP, i.e. to what extent she wants to follow tradition and agamic dictates, giving advice like the above is careless to say the least.

bhavana, I think you should approach your acharya or a trusted temple priest, or an elder in your family to get clarified.

Cheers!

We have a Team of people involving in New Construction of Temples throughout India.

We are also having a Separate Team for making Panchaloga Vigrahas.Just now we made a Pancha Loga vigraha of ( Kothanda Ramar Set).If possible I can send you the Photos if you give your mail id.

In this profession We used to come across Experienced Silphis,Acharyas,Priests and many experts. We heard Their Valuable advises also_Out of that experience I guided her and never misguided her.

Even then your Quote
I think you should approach your acharya or a trusted temple priest, or an elder in your family to get clarified.
is also correct to get advises of Elders. That is also absolutely agreeable.
