In the forests, varAha descends as (panjurli) wild boar, clearing dead animals, ensuring germination of seeds through furrowing, promoting biodiversity of forests, protecting its borders.

Just to add something...though unrelated to the post.

The usage of term "Surya koti sama prabha" is seen in the Vakra tunda mahakaya Ganesh mantra ...meaning as we know is " the brilliance of 10 million suns( 1 koti).

Interestingly the Pistol star which was discovered by Don Figer in 1990 using the hubble telescope is gigantic in size and its brightness is 10 million times brighter than the sun..that is a real Surya koti sama prabha.

Its a strange co incidence..may be you could do some research on this..as why a Ganesh mantra has this line which matches with the Pistol Star.
