Two must be performed rituals

DEAR ALL

Preumably due to pressure of work.time constraint or influence of ultra modern concepts many rituals ,celebrations have been overlooked & not followes / performed. Of course of late younger genaratuins have started taking interest in aanmeegam related matters which gives us ,seniors ' that .our culture & tradition shall not be lost to western way of thinking or influenced by nasthikam.

Whatever may be our thinking TWO YITUALS MUST BE FOLLOWED
1.pRAYER TO FAMILY DEITY ( KULADEIVAM )E cvery family will have a deity worshipped by generations & follow aspecific method of worshipping. This deiyty should be worshipped before doing any puja .even on daily pujas.If any special method like abishekam, padayal etc
are there same can be done at least once ayaer but definitele before any important occasion.
2 Varushapdheegam to dear dead souls as we require their blessings for us & our children .

I feel the top most religious activity one should perform should be SANDHYAVANDANAM .

you are right sir. the first must be the sandyavandanam,madyanikam,sayam sandyavandanam and brahma yagyam. we left this all and doing other things.these all are our basic things means ASTHIVARAM. WITHOUT DOING THESE ALL WHAT RITUALS WE PERFORMING IS NOT CORRECT

For kula deivam you have to do qabhishekam once in a year.without break.You must go to that village temple where your kula deivam is. For daily pooja if possible you can have the photo of your kula deivam in your house pooja room. you may do pooja.daily or occassionaly to this photo as per your convenience. But it is necessary to go to your kula deivam temple and do abishekam once in a year.

Every year pithru sratham should be done on the thithi paksham and month to the pithrus; Without doing sandhyavandhanam daily 2 or 3 times there is no use of doing these things.

Sir, pl add pitru yagyam,vaisvadeva yagyam and athithI yagyam which completes the pancha maha yagyas one has to perform.

Pitru Yagyam-(All Yagyas to pitrus including sraddam,tarpanam etc)
Deva Yagyam - (All poojas, including kula deiva puja to deities)
Brahma Yagyam( A daily yagyam to the rishisreciting one prasna of sakha of veda one has learnt or atleast Purusha sukta)

Vaisvadeva yagyam - ( an offering to all the bhootas of the world in which all birds like crows etc are fed)
athiTI yagyam - Feeding of anyone who wants food

since sandyavandanam is pre requisite to all these Yagyams it has to be performed manadatorily.

"sandhya hinaha nityam asuchihi na arhathi sarva karmasu"

A person who does not perform sandya is unclean and unfit to perform any karma, so say the shastras.
