Trademark Laws

Sir:
Trademark is the distinct name, mark or symbol attached to the goods.
If registered with the Registrar of Trademarks, it protects your brand
and no one can use such name, mark or symbol and duplicate your
product. Imagine you spend lot of time and money to develop , market
and establish a product and someone else comes with a similar product
with the same brand name ! In order to protect your brand, Trademark
laws are enacted.

You can have Patent rights for new inventions or extension to such
inventions also.

Then there is another right known as Copyrights which covers art,
literature, music etc. Protection given to authors of books comes under
this category.

Thanks

Dear Sir,

Thanks for the trouble taken to reply. Is this applied only for products?

By the way sir, are you a lawyer especially in patenting field?

Thanks
