Good beating from his wife! Was it really forgetfulness?

[h=1]Tourist 'forgets' wife at petrol station in Brazil and drives 60 miles before realising[/h]Caroline Mortimer | The Independent | Jan 18, 2016

An absent-minded tourist left his wife stranded at a petrol station and didn't notice she was missing for almost 60 miles.

The man, identified only as Walter, was driving home to Argentina from a holiday in Brazil when he stopped at a petrol station.

After filling up his car he went to the bathroom - not realising his wife, who has been named as Claudia, had got out of the car to buy cookies after she had been sleeping on the backseat.

Walter and his 14-year-old son, who was sitting on the front seat playing a game on a mobile, then continued on their journey leaving Claudia behind.

When she realised they had left without her, Claudia reportedly tried to call her husband's mobile but could not get through due to lack of signal.

She then contacted the local police who took her to the station until her husband returned two hours later.

A traffic police officer in the Brazilian area of Passo Fundo said the wife was so angry she kicked the car when she returned, the Telegraph reports.

He said: "She was very angry. She was moaning at him for taking so long to realise. "There was no physical assault, but she was more upset when I saw the husband."

This is normal in younger generation amongnewly wedded couples in india as I have posted elsewhere.

As the marriages are arranged ones , most tend to forget they are married initially for a few weeks at least.

Also those who ride two wheelors with wife in back seat mostly do not look back to ensure whether their spouses are safely seated in back seats.

I m not joking. This is the reality.lol

May be he wanted to abandon her..so he left her behind!LOL

Out here some few weeks back ..a husband and wife forgot their 6 year old son while holidaying in a hill resort and drove almost back home and only realized after a good 80km that they forgot their son.

Its getting common cos people are pre-occupied with their smart phones.

Frankly speaking I wonder what is so addictive in a smartphone..its just like a mini lap top..so what is the big deal?

Youngsters are so much addicted to chatting, posting in Facebook and viewing videos & photos that they think that the entire world is digital! They care 2 hoots for their parents or other relatives...Such a culture has fast developed in India too! We can say it is a OCD which is obsessively compulsory digital!!

Hahaha! "OCD which is obsessively compulsory digital" syndrome has now become universal!

It is taking a huge toll on the younger generation. Those who are having Board Exams/competitive exams too are sticking to smartphones and act violently if separated from it. It results in their behaviour and performances in our home too. This can be cured only when some other form of tech. innovation happens fast.

This is a sociological problem to be handled with care...perhaps with passive advice or indirect counselling.
