When is the earliest occasion for giving a tonsure the new born child? Can it be performed within one year of birth

TONSURE.

In most families the first tonsure of the child will be done before the family diety tirupathy., palani, thiruthani etc; or in some other dieties. this can be done before the completion of the first year or immediately after. As this being a vow on completion of the ceremony samaradhanai will be held. the baby will be gifted with a new dress.for this occasion. you may do from 9th month onwards.
