It issad that this ancient custom is polluting the air and creating allergy. Worshiping Agny is Ok, but not this kind of burning. No GOD wants pollution in his creation of earth.

You are right. But small quantites add up. In the olden days, other pollutions were almost did not exist. Now every small contribution has to be control. Having faith also needs respecting GOD's creation. It is not a crime, but every one can give the same kind of explanation and the result is the cumulated pain.

Corruption, stealing and every such action is always given minimal attention and looked up on as a harmless event. But eventually, it becomes a crime. All right what I am trying to share is that " we need to see GOD in pure water (and not pollute it with sewer, plastic bad dumping,.. ), air - controlling the urge to use fire crackers, bone fire.., cutting trees--reuse existing wood.. and all of us owe to our future generation. The alternative is, do not procreate and leave a dirty world. The mistake of using plastic, petrol, burning stubs of wheat plant(rather removing and using to make card board..) were due to ignorance. Our education is prescriptive and does not allow us to think. So, a natural question would be what do you do?

I use minimum water and give it to plants - many laugh at me. Take my cloth bags - reused pant bottom half sicked as bag, do not burn incense, camphor.... just like the squirrel did help Lord Rama. to GOD includes non-pollution. Charity begins at home. Changing old habits and mind set is difficult but look at the Asthma, people look older than they are.. all due o air pollution according to science and GOD gave us the inquisitiveness to understand them. We are finding excuse and think Government, politician and corrupt officials will find the solutions for us without our own contribution!
If we believe :"Aham Bramasmi", then even small pollution is against this belief.
