Think or sink!

The three 'com's that take away the joy from your life!

Comparing, Commenting and Complaining are those three 'com's that take away your joy of life. Each one has his fortunes and misfortunes determined accurately long before being born. It is like a divine software kept inside the hardware called the body.

What will be ours, WILL be yours - whether you want to have it or not.
What will not be yours, WILL NOT be yours - whether you wish for it or not.

There is no peace of mind - once we start comparing ourselves with the others,
The outcome will never be good - if you keep commenting on your observations!
There is no welcome to a person who keeps complaining about everything to everyone.

Accept your life as it has been handed over to you.
Count your blessings and not your miseries and pains.

Feel happy for all that has been bestowed on you by Dear God
who loves you, all the time, 'without any "Ifs" and "Buts"!' 🙏
Let us try our best without coveting, comparing or judging (others). "Que sera, sera" is a similar thought from Europe.

Let us try our best without coveting, comparing or judging (others). "Que sera, sera" is a similar thought from Europe.
Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) is an ancient European thought conveying a similar idea of "cheerful acceptance of one's fate and destiny". It has been made immortal and popular by a song in a suspensel film by Hitchcock. One can read more on this in Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Que_Sera,_Sera_(Whatever_Will_Be,_Will_Be)

"Swim or Sink!" might be more popular than this title Think or Sink!
But that does not make this title less true on any scale!

When we do not think too well... we sink by ourselves.
When we think too well... the others will make us sink.

So which is the better option among these two?

Sink by ourselves without thinking hard and well
or let the others take care of the job of sinking us?

It is indeed a tough question and needs to be pondered
well before it could be answered.

Well! In any case we need an outlet for free thinking so that
the other threads can remain pure and unadulterated.

Welcome to think constructively on anything under
the sun and above it and to refrain from any
destructive and damaging thinking process.
:)
I am brinking and shrinking

We can hope for better things.
[ Nothing like Hope to keep one focused].

We can pray for better things.
[ Nothing like a Prayer to make us realize what we really need!]

We can strive for better things.
[ Nothing like chasing one's dreams to keep one motivated!]

We will receive whatever is destined to be ours!
[ Nothing like accepting whatever we receive, after doing all that we have done!]

A proverb a day to brighten the day.

339a.

339b.
Do good to others and forget about it!
But remember all the good done by the others.

The greatest joy is do a good deed secretly and wait till it is discovered by the beneficiary.
Good deeds can speak for themselves. They do not need any introduction or conclusion.

The one who does good to others, should never remember it.
The one who receives the goodness, should never forget it.

Don’t be afraid to be alone!
It is the ONLY time God can speak with you!

Don’t be afraid to be alone!
It is the only time your creative energy can emerge undisturbed and
you can create/ draw/ write/ do things much better.

Solitude is not a punishment but a blessing in disguise.
The only way to beat solitude is to engage oneself usefully.

Many famous books have been either written or launched while their authors were in prison.
So we will see about a few famous works and their authors in this Sentences vs Sentences!

Some people are scared of solicitude.
They can't bear the silence of the solitude!

Some others are scared of loneliness.
They can't feel whole without people around them!

Some people are scared to close their eyes while awake
and some others even when they are fast asleep!

It will be quite a scary sight to watch a person
with wide open eyes but also snoring loudly.

I am brinking and shrinking
A child said proudly, "I can spell banana but I do not know when to stop!" :(

Now I see that the confusion is confined not just to 'nanana' but also to 'bababa'. :)

I am blinking since I do not know anything about brinking!

I am sure that shrinking is good both for the banana and the general population! :)

A proverb a day to brighten the day.

341b. In love there is always one who kisses and one who gets kissed.

In every relationship, there is always one who SERVES and another who gets SERVED.
The allotment does not depend on the gender of the two persons involved.

Often it depends on the good looks / fair complexion of the one who gets served.
It invariably depend on the selfless love the one-who-serves has for the one-who-gets-served.

It may even depend on the prenuptial conditions and contract they had made.
Whatever be the cause, these two cases are inevitable and the two persons inseparable!

footnotes:-
In = In
der Liebe = Love
gibt es = there is
immer = always
jemanden = someone
der = who
küsst = kisses
und = and
einen, = one
der = who

342a. Eine Hecke dazwischen hält die Freundschaft grün.
342b. A hedge in between keeps the friendship green.

Most problems in life are caused by aggression - aggression of land, of personal space, of time, of personal property and of one's privacy. A small fence which will prevent such aggression will keep the relationship pleasant and friendly.

Hecke = hedge
dazwischen = in between
hält = keeps
die = the
Freundschaft = friendship
grün = green.

343b. It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.

Every problem has a solution.
Some solutions are obvious and some others may involve deep thinking.
The best thing to do is to find the solution rather than feel helpless and curse the problem.

ist = is
besser = better
anzuzünden = to light
eine = a
Kerze = candle
als = than
zu = to

A proverb a day to brighten the day.

der = who

A clever scheme for meeting, greeting, chatting and eating!

In some temples they used to serve free food on certain days of the month. So in this temple I am going to talk about, free food was served on every full moon day.

A large family of siblings lived with their respective large families in the same city. They wanted to meet but it will strain the available space in their house and also the family budget. Besides who can cook for such a big gathering?

So they all come to that temple on every Full moon day. They meet, they greet, they chat and they eat a feast. No problem of space. No botheration for cooking for dozens of people. Not a rupee wasted. A very relaxing evening for free loading and mingling. :)

I wonder what they are doing NOW - during the lock down period! We Indians never miss a chance to enjoy anything given freely. The successful motto for survival seems to be "Is anything free? Then give me three!":)
