Think or sink!

A House VS A Home

The place is the real cause
Of many an inhuman abuse;
Of harsh words that accuse,
And of people who tend to misuse.

It does one's interest, arouse,
It can amuse and also confuse,
It is the palace of liberal excuse,
Which the people can't refuse.

It is the place the people pause
or refuse to leave just because,
It is where they can deeply muse
Or if so inclined let thoughts fuse.

It is where love is let to diffuse,
It is where seriousness can defuse,
It is where affection spreads profuse
It is where each other tend to enthuse.

A House + Love => A Home!

A proverb a day to brighten the day!

:doh:

From frying pan into the fire

:bolt:

A proverb a day to brighten the day!

48a. Blinder Eifer ist Feuer ohne Licht.
48b. Blind zeal is fire without light.

The Power Of Prayer. ?
More things are achieved by prayers than the world dreams of.

Do you know WHY?
One who prays knows what he/ she wants.

So all the thoughts and actions will automatically be directed towards that aim.
In due course he/ she will achieve what he/ she has prayed for.

A Word Of Caution:-
Beware of what you pray for.... for you are sure to get it! ?

A proverb a day to brighten the day!

The lever Gardener.

It was flowers he wanted to grow,
All planted in a beautiful row!

He had to make sure the furrow
Was neat, straight and narrow.

He planned the seeds to throw,
On his lucky day the morrow.

He badly needed a harrow,
From a friend he can borrow.

The seeds were food for sparrow,
With this thought he felt sorrow;

Surely he can't shoot a sparrow,
With a long thin pointed arrow!

He conceived a trick to overthrow,
"I will foil the scheme of the sparrow!

And bury the seeds as if in a marrow,
And watch the fun unfold tomorrow!"

icon2.png

Enforced rest period

is an extension of my personality,
my Conscience and my thought process.

A proverb a day to brighten the day!

52b. You can not see the forest because of the trees.

Footnotes:-
du = you
siehst = see
lauter = nothing but
bäumen = trees
vor = in the front
nicht = not
den wald = the forest

Fun with words.

I love the sweet bun,
Which is well done!

A Word to me is a bun,
Born from my own pen!

A word may seem to mean one,
But it might also be a good pun!

Words make our ideas run,
When they are well spun!

Glowing like the lovely Sun,
They never fail us to stun.

Our hearts are being won,
Like lovely flowers, a ton!

This wordplay can go on and on!
But better business begins soon!

When free time is again found,
More poems will come around!

A proverb a day to brighten the day!

53a. Widrigkeiten machen Männer klug.
53b. Adversity makes men smart.

A fool and his money are soon parted.
To survive in misfortune and difficulties
one has to become smart - if he is already not!

Adi Sankara's Bhaja Govindam (slokam #18)

A proverb a day to brighten the day!

54a. Die Wände haben Ohren.
54b. The walls have ears.

True! The walls have ears and the windows the eyes!
The jolly jOli and happy hobby of
several people is
to remain rooted to the window ...
all seeing and yet unseen!
