என் போலவே மாநிறம்தான், ஆனால் பளீர் புன்னகை;

கடின உழைப்பாளி! ultra clean and well organized.

சமையலில் expert. Creative hobbies!

Artistic, creative and extremely imaginative.
Her hard work would put to shame Ants and Bees

She has taught both her sons to read fluently any book
by the time they were two years old. They excel in math!

நல்ல sense of humor உண்டு.

We will go back to the 'Sindhaiyil nindra vindhai manithargaL' from tomorrow.

Today I found a man who could teach fractions to anyone easily!

He has lost 5/8 of his original teeth.

1/3 of the remaining 3/8 of original teeth need root canal treatment.

2/3 of the remaining have been taken up by the doctors who love to face challenges!

Had he chosen a regular 'vasool rAja dentist' he would be broke by the time his 8 teeth get RTC done.

He has made the right choice but I pity those doctors!

The crown for my upper molar was fixed today.
I hope for a pain-free-future - as long as I live.

I found the young woman whose upper molar needed RTC but the doctors had decided it was inaccessible!

Was my upper molar treated as a special favor to an old lady?
If so God 'May bless the team of young energetic doctors!'

NATIONAL EMBLEM

"SHAME ! SHAME !

# 302. The jingling jangler!

Metal detector

"Open up!", "Open up!"

Metal implants

:noidea:

During one of my visits to the Primary Health care center while in USA, the nurse asked me if I had written down my will.

I had drawn a will before leaving for the USA but it was not what she referred to. She was talking about the Living Will. I am yet to fill it up and it will be the first thing I do once I return to USA.

Today I visited my closest living relative of the older generation. He is 90+ and had to be hospitalised since he had a bad fall and subsequent complications related to the fall and his advanced old age.

Today I visited him in one of the very famous hospitals in the city.
He was supported by a network of tubes. One was for O2. The other was for nasal feed. The third was to drain the urine.

His hands and legs were tied to the frame of the cot - since he wanted to pull off all the tubes and die peacefully.

The tying was done in the most unsympathetic manner. The index and the middle fingers were held together tightly by a roll of plaster and a tape passed in between them was tied to the cot.

The blood circulation had been stopped by the tight plaster making his fingers swollen like water balloons.

The skin had started peeling due to the swelling. Maybe they will notice it only when it bursts like a real balloon! :(

We are discussing about Euthanasia but how many elderly people suffer unnecessarily - against their own wish and will.

It is wisdom to draw our Living Will to escape from the Living Hell!

A living will usually provides specific directives about the course of treatment healthcare providers and caregivers are to follow. In some cases a living will may forbid the use of various kinds of burdensome medical treatment. It may also be used to express wishes about the use or foregoing of food and water, if supplied via tubes or other medical devices. The living will is used only if the individual has become unable to give informed consent or refusal due to incapacity. A living will can be very specific or very general. An example of a statement sometimes found in a living will is: "If I suffer an incurable, irreversible illness, disease, or condition and my attending physician determines that my condition is terminal, I direct that life-sustaining measures that would serve only to prolong my dying be withheld or discontinued."

"Take control or be controlled."

# 303. Maitaining the levels of anger and despair.

THE LEVEL OF DESPAIR

# 305. Curry Powder!

soup / peppery smell and taste

"Mummy!

# 306. Two classes of Indians.

:nono:

98. Body Language

At times our words can hide our real feelings—may be due to lying, or due tense, frightened and embarrassed feelings. At such times, truth emerges in non-verbal forms– involving change in postures, gestures, twitches and facial expressions. All these are now denoted by the very popular term “Body Language”. It is a part of Para language.

Body language included several subtle movements like winking, moving eye brows and other facial expressions. A person crossing his arms across his chest may show his opposition to an idea, or keep aloof by putting a barrier between him and the world.

One of the most important means of non verbal communication is the eye contact. Intense eye contacts have measurable physiological effects, such as increased pulse rate and changes in the complexion and color of the face. A person blushes with excitement or shame, grows pale in fear and turns red when angry. These body languages are understood universally.

At the place of work, intense eye contact may mean superiority or hostility. Looking away is a signal of submission, weakness and evasion. Clenched fist shows the effort made to hold one’s temper and biting nails is an anxiety syndrome.

An averted gaze shows disloyalty or falsehood. Head turned to one side with unfocused gaze means boredom. Deceit and withholding of vital information is accompanied by touching ones face during conversation.

Much of the body language is culture oriented. In some cultures youngsters and subordinates are forbidden to look into the eyes of older people and those in authority. In these cases an averted glance need not signify false hood or deceit. It may be due to the respect being shown.

The study of non verbal communication is much older than we tend imagine. Today the people are aware of the significances of their gestures and postures and use them wisely to create the impression they want to create.

110. When we tell a lie…

Human beings have learnt a special art not found in the animal kingdom—The Art of telling Lies! It is one of the greatest conquests of the human consciousness. To tell a lie involves these two things; the speaker knows that what he says is not true; all the same he wants the listener to believe it to be true.

Most children begin to lie when are two or three years old. A simple denial with a mono syllable “no” is the first lie they learn to tell. But the children betray themselves by laughing nervously, when they tell a lie.

Three or four year old children place a hand in front of their mouth while telling a lie. The mouth speaks a lie and it should be hidden from the others. Five year old’s are smarter and don’t cover their mouths. But they look down or look away and avoid eye contacts. By the time the child is 8 years old, he would have become a cool and confident liar!

Even adults use body language while telling a lie. They look to the left or to the right of their feet. False facial expressions are forced and asymmetrical while natural expressions are symmetrical and pleasant. In fact facial expressions are as reliable as the lie-detectors.

Lie detectors measure a number of physical indicators of stress like blood pressure, pulse rate, respiration, skin conductivity etc. Random questions are put to the suspect and the stress level generated in each, is recorded. A skilled interpreter can read the polygraphs. But a skilled liar can cheat the lie detector by not feeling stressed while lying.

Some types of lies are not venomous or damaging. “Jocose Lies” are told in good humor and wit and are enjoyed by the listeners. “White Lies” offer some benefits to both the liar and the listener. They are harmless lies, told to avoid harmful and devastating truths.

A “Noble Lie” may cause unrest if it were discovered. It is the “Official lie” told by the government, in order to maintain law and order, during a crisis. It helps the elite to remain in power–in spite of the existing crisis.

The main advantage of not telling a lie is that we don’t have to remember what we had told and to whom, where and when!

Talking of Amway products....

One lady tried to push me a product which was supposed to remove the dark circles around one's eyes.

I do not have dark circles and she HAD. I asked her
"Do you use what you sell?"

She was honest enough to admit that she could NOT afford the products she sold.

Then I told her, "Tell your boss that the one who sells dark circle remover cannot afford to have dark circles-if she wishes to sell the product!"

Later they held a demo cum sales of the fantastically priced fabulous(?) products in our community hall.

The boss was a lady and she wanted to check the facial skin of the ladies present there, using ultraviolet light, for blemishes.

As USUAL no one stirred from their seats. I volunteered. She studied my face in the UV light and estimated my age to be a good 15 years less than what I really was! She then asked me what were the products I used to keep my skin young and healthy.

I said, " I use NOTHING other than the good old BESAN powder aka kaladai maavu + turmeric powder for cleaning my face.

Immediately the vicinity of the ultraviolet screener was mobbed by the youngster and old ladies alike.

Soon after a sales person tried to sell me some skin cream and I told her. "Your madam has pronounced my complexion very healthy for my age and so I need not use your cream!"

# 307. Non vegetarian dishes in parties.

# 308. Non Veg in Weddings.

If people feel happy just to meet you/ see you/ talk to you
DO NOT deny them that pleasure which costs you NOTHING.
Happiness is much more valuable than your money and time.

How the sale of 'pouch pack' was born and caught on!

When I questioned about the exorbitant price of every Amway product, the only answer given - irrespective of the product- was that it will last of 2 years or 3 years.

I told them, "Let me buy smaller and cheaper packs which last me for 3 or 2 months instead!"

In fact that is how the sale of the pouch pack shampoo caught on surprising everyone.

The bottle was too costly for most people to be able to afford.
But when the same shampoo was packed for single use and sold for a few rupees everyone started buying.

It was so convenient...no leaks and no need for storage space nor any storage problems!

Everything from pickles for a single meal has appeared in the small pouch packets and became an instant success.

Small IS as beautiful as it is convenient ! :)

# 310. The most exciting Day!

மருமகள் full length skirt, matching top and accessories

Party wear

11th hour ?

Metal detector

Security Officer "Please come again more slowly this time"

"Keep your I.D with you always!"

Governor wave
