Dear VR ji,
Since I have western music training..this form of singing is called Vibrato.
This is not much seen in Indian type of singing but its nice to give Bhajans a twist and go Vibrato.
Actually one needs a steady voice to handle Vibrato.

THE MODERN FRIDGE LOOKS SO SLEEK, SO TALL, SO SLIM, SO ELEGANT AND SO SPACIOUS. BUT YOU HAD BETTER KEEP YOUR SAFE DISTANCE FROM IT FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.

We attended a baby Shower in a popular Hotel in the city last week.
The invitation was restricted to the close family and close friends!
I can understand the restriction since the lunch served would have been a rip-off to the organizers!!!
Indian punctuality made me (a punctual person) the first non family person to reach the avenue.
The others turned up 30 minutes to 75 minutes later!
A tall boy served ice cool lemonade in small paper cups.
It was so refreshing and tasty that I asked him for a second cup and he obliged with a smile.
He attended to me during the lunch by serving me my favorite aviyal - a second time!
But the real surprise was when I was in the hand-wash-area and he brought and gave me bangles.
They were the right size, beautiful pink ones and dark green ones with a lot of shine included.
And they were the unbreakable type of bangles!
I did nothing to him except treat him like human being and NOT just a
mechanical extension of the tray of lemonade cups he was holding!
I thanked the supervisor for the tasty and home-like-meals and he too was very happy.
Truly the three most beautiful words in the world are,
"Please!", "Thank you!" and of course "I love you!"
I used the first and the second and I am sure they will remember me
for a long long time just as I will remember them for a long long time!

They are NOT invented as Tools for torturing or punishing one's step children.
Step children are thrown into a washing machine and the machine is run UNTIL
the step father/ mother is sure that the child has given up its ghost and gone limp!
Step mother thrusts a toddler into the oven!
It is a two in one scheme...cook and get rid of the unwanted menace and
destroy the evidence by eating it perhaps or disposing it easily?? :scared:
A four year is forced to dip his foot in boiling water and let to die due to the severe infection.
Slightly grownup boys and girls are force fed enormous amounts salt and killed.
Obedient Young Girls are made to run around until they literally drop dead!
Adolescent children are often shot and killed.

If they do not want children why do they make babies?

A lot has happened in the past 5 decades. Girls have emerged from the cocoons they were safely placed - till they were wedded in their parents' house and after they were married their in laws' place.
They compete with men in every respect, every field often faring better than men.
Girls came to know their real worth - instead of being commodities which were owned, sold and purchased by men. Their mothers realized the worth of their daughters. So now the tables have been turned.
It is the girl who selects her life partner from among the many aspirants. It is she who decided WHO is going to relocate after the wedding or resign the job as an extreme step!
They girls decide whether and when they want to start the family. They decide where to start the family!
So instead of the pregnant girl being sent to her mother house for confinement and delivery and stay there for 6 more month till the baby is partially weaned and toilet trained, it the parents of (???) going over to help her with all of these things.
Now come the most interesting issue.
Which parent will go to help the pregnant girl?
The mother of the girl will be the first choice and the natural choice ... but not any more.
She has had enough trouble bringing up her daughter and does not want to extend her services to the next generation.
SO IT IS THE MOTHER OF THE GROOM who is sent for doing the sleepless night duty and the ugly and smelly diaper duty.
Interesting isn't it?
The wheel of life / Fortune makes a complete circle in 60 years!

My friend is of my age, similar to me in many respects.
She has three sons while I have only two sons!
Now that every house has become an empty nest the
Empty Nest Syndrome prevails in every household.
I manage to have an absorbing hobby despite all the odds and
oppositions and feel that my life is NOT totally wasted.
But her case is different. She is supposed to be holding either
a duster/ broom or the garden hose - whenever is not holding
a ladle /tongs or strainer.
She is always under a microscope under the ever watchful eyes
of her husband. He HAS to pass his time usefully by criticizing
her and giving her a hard time.
I bet this is some kind of mental affliction - the compulsion to
reassure himself and to prove to the rest if the world that he is
the 'one who wears pants' in their house!
She is not allowed to sing/ stitch or do embroidery or watch TV
or even talk to people on the phone. WHY do the women of the
past put up with all these nonsense? What will happen if she
just walks out of the house to live one of the three sons?
What will happen if she is not available for ordering around
anymore? How will such men spend the rest of their lives with
no one to find fault with and criticize and command?
It is worth watching by becoming invisible and keeping an eye
on the happenings after one's absence from the scene!
