Death is a great leveler! It is also a great reliever!

It unravels to reveal the deepest subconscious thoughts of the people left behind.

When the doctor wife of our family doctor passed away recently, it was taken to a clinic to be dressed.

They had to transport her physical remains strapped to a stretcher down the staircase.

After it was dressed and packed ready for the final journey it was bought back home again.

The kunda-mandi-friend of the doctor would not let him and his family carry the body on the stairs.

The small lift was meant only for 4 people standing close together in its small area.

The brilliant friend forced the others to hold the stretcher upright inside the lift :scared:

If the lady doctor had NOT died earlier or was briefly resurrected, she would have died again in fright.

I was reminded of the story when some people could not bring the sprawling dead body out

through the narrow opening, instead of widening the opening apparently cut the dead body to size!

The sane Logic involved was this!

The dead body would not feel any pain anyway but widening the opening would cost money! :doh:
 
Flood in coastal Andhra was and is an yearly affair.

Come the monsoon... comes the flood.

The scary details of the flood always included people removing the jewels

from the swollen dead bodies of the victims washed ashore later on.

I bet they must have given the Soorpanakha treatment to remove the nose screws and ear rings

and chopped off the hands and ankles to remove the gold and silver worn there.

When the 84 year old man died in the colony a month ago, I went to pay my last respects to him.

He was wearing gold rings in both the ring fingers.

I could not help wondering will happen if for some reason they were unable to remove them later!

It will be a good idea to get rid of all the jewels before one takes to bed.

In any case he/ she will not be allowed to have a milligram of any noble metal one the body.

But at least he/ she can go to the next world with all the limbs in perfect order!

Men may come and men may go but their greed goes on for ever! :(

The Telugu expression used to denote that someone has taken to bed is

"Mancham ekkaaru/ Mancham ekkindhi" (for the male and female respectively)

When the call of the mancham (bed) could not be put off any more

it will be pure wisdom to remove all the jewels voluntarily when still fully conscious!

Suddenly people have stated falling on my feet,
or touching them in the North Indian style.

It did not make any sense since I am the same person
and they too appear to be the same persons they used to be.

Thanks to my powers of intuition and reasoning,
things started making sense all of a sudden.

The committee election is round the corner.
I am the permanent opposition to everyone.

To ease the opposition they may face,
the soap opera and liberal application of soap.

I may never become the King myself. :drama:
But they all believe that I am the King maker. :rolleyes:
 
Our family priest with double dome is blessed with daughter 19 years after he got married.

Usually children born very late to elderly parents will have some kind of physical or mental affliction.

It was good to see that the girl now 5 years old is brainy, bright, bold and beautiful. :thumb:

She entered the house doing anjali hasta mudra. :pray2: (as related by my co-sis-in-law)

She was elated to receive a gift of Rs. 100 from my co sister in law.

It is customary to give children we see for the first time some gift or money.

The father asked her to hand over the cash gift to him for safe keeping.

But she had other plans for it as she wanted to buy shoes.

So she was able to make independent decisions.

She realized that the money given to her father will merge with the samsaara saagaram and

dissolve to disappear completely.

And she had an idea of how much she needed for her new foot wear. Great!

I had known another girl so smart while still so young.

This kind of people will flourish - even if they may make the others perish! :angel:
 
There is a group ( there may be more in fact) called dearall.com!
Their main business is washing dirty linen in the public.
They started it without realizing that they can never get out if the slush!

Their tenacity and determination is superlative.
Their energy never seems to diminish with time.
Their issues never get sorted out with time.

So with enough issues, enough time, enough energy
they continue to keep one another angry and amused by turn.

Angry since truth always stings harsher than a scorpion.

Amused when their English Grammar goes on a long vacation
and often decides never to come back again.

The funniest part is the inclusion of some random people in the list
who none of the persons in the group recognizes.

Oh boy ! Am I happy I don't belong to this group called (un)dearall.com
since I am not dear to any one them and I thank god for that! :hail:
 
I had always wondered about the truth behind the existence of

a woman named Kaaya Chandigai with insatiable hunger.

I do not doubt the possibility if her existence now.

Ordinary women we come across seem to make every meal an eating-competition ...all their lives!

So why not a mythical character who had been cursed to suffer insatiable hunger?

the crowd in the morning pooja was dwindling in number.

But today it was a different story for two reasons.

1. It is the New Year Day.

2. The pooja was at 8 A.M instead of the usual 6 A.M.

Inference:

It is indeed difficult for many people to leave the warmth of the bed on a cold winter morning!
 
I firmly believe that if we wish for something with all our heart,
it will be given to us by someone, somehow and at sometime.

As I child I wished for the box type school bag with latches and a firm rectangular base.
It evaded me for a long long time. But when my maternal aunt visited us the next time,
she presented me with the very thing I had in my mind.

I had told her or anyone about my wish and yet it got fulfilled.

The mouse pad after 10 years of rough use has become dog eared and looked like a battered wife.
I wanted to buy a new mouse pad. But it comes only with a new P.C. So I want a mouse pad I must be ready to buy another P.C!

Imagine my surprise when the little girl from the upstairs house wished me A Happy New year and gave me two articles. One was a calendar - the favorite collector's item of you-know-who.

The other was a cute mouse pad- which I was unable to buy with money. It was delivered to me free of cost at my own house.

Inference:

Someone somewhere is reading our innermost thoughts and listening to our sincere prayers.
Make use this golden opportunity to get what you really need and also want.

P.S

Only two things have eluded me all my life. It is because someone else is also wishing for the same things more aggressively with greater greed / dire need! :rolleyes:
 
Yogam is achieving or receiving something nice and likable.

Kshemam is protecting that from the Government/robbers/cheaters in that order.

Even to be able to eat the food kept on the table without being disturbed we need yogam.

To sleep like a log the moment one assumes a horizontal position is another yogam.

The most interesting thing is the vaahana yogam

Those whom have this yogam always get free rides to everyplace they want to go.

They get the priority seats (and still keep complaining all along ) :rolleyes:

and other free refreshments in addition to the free ride.

I wish I knew what qualifies a person for vaahana yogam.

It is one of those things which have eluded me all my life!

You seem to have missed the point again! It is NOT some kind of a "Secret In a Book" or some kind of a mantra
encoded in a strange language - It is right there in you, me and everyone.

The book that I mentioned only gives an peripheral view. It is also available in a CD - you could probably
get it from a store nearby. If you just look beyond the melodrama and flowery presentation in the CD,
then you'll know what I am referring to.

How have Tom-n-Jerry been all these months? Keeping you all engaged in lively debate / discussion?

Tom is smart but Jerry has to be smarter to survive with Tom h(a)unting it all the time!
The struggle is permanent! Only the bone of contention keeping differing from time to time.
