Dear VR ji,

let me give you the latest update on this..actually it was 13 men that had raped the girl and each had 3 rounds of sex with her(rape) and that totalled up to about 39 times she was raped..

now hold your breathe..all 13 men are related to each other and it also involved a father and his 2 sons!

Police have caught all 13 men....the girl was also sodomized.

Thank God she is still alive even though she had bleeding and fainted many times.

This happened in the most conservative state of M'sia which is known for its strong religious sentiments and lifestyle.

I am very poor in Economic policies but since I am thrifty I can survive on any income.

We did not have money to throw around but we gave our kids good education

and taught them the value of Values and that of Money.

Now they earn enough to throw around on their kids.

But I am not sure that it is the best way to teach the kids

I somehow feel the word sacrifice gives an impression that we are denying ourselves something for the sake of another or for a specific goal..this sometimes can also be that a person may so call "sacrifice" but secretly wish in one's mind that he/she should have a better life etc and not having to keep sacrificing.

So the total outcome would be external sacrifice but internal dissatisfaction, pent up desires,envious of those who are better off and regret at an old age.

To me I feel the best way is Moderation in thought,words and deeds when it comes to finance.....that is we sort of plan our lives in moderation..so that way we still get to live within our means without denying ourselves or anyone else their due share of comfort and luxury.

Moderation tailor makes our desires to fit the financial situation so that we do not live in the either end of the spectrum.

I feel that is true Tapasya...getting a hold of our lives by applying the principles of Moderation...after all the end product of even a religious Tapasya is Samadhi(Equal Mindedness)..if we apply this concept in day to day life..it becomes a Sanctified Financial Yagna.
