Dear A.M Ji,
I have three things to tell you. :bump2:
1. I am eagerly awaiting to hear the rest of the fairy tale of the princess with a pet dinosaur. :ear:
2. True! The turtles are hard nuts crack ... more so when they chose to visit ONLY on and off. :roll:
3. I do not know whether anyone noticed this. The alligator must by 90 years old at least -
since it has hardly any serviceable teeth in its jaws!!

mattil periyammai vAganamE - muttamER
kooraiyillaa veedE kularAman ThoodhuvanE
AraiyadA chonnAyadhu"
Poet Kambar asked a riddle to Avvaiyaar 'oru kAladi; nAlilaip pandhaladi' which meant Araik keerai
which has four part leaves. Since 'di' came twice, Avvaiyaar gave this harsh reply with a 'dA' added!
Meaning:
ettEkAl lakshNamE = avakshaNamE - since Tamil numbers 8 and 1/4 are written as a-va;
emanERum pariyE - Lord Yama's vAhanam = buffalo;
mattil periyammai vAganamE - MoodEvi's vAganam = donkey;
muttamER kooraiyillaa veedE - roofless house = kuttich chuvarE;
kularaaman ThoodhuvanE - Lord Rama's messenger = monkey;
AraiyadA chonnAyadhu" - you said Araik keerai -dA!
