Think or sink!

I understand the philosophy of Kamsan and Kannan's relationship much better NOW.

Kamsan was consumed by his hatred to Kannan
just like who-know-who does for who-know-who at all times.

Poor 'Kamsan' must be suffering from severe chronic ulcer
thanks to his "vayitRinill neruppena nindra nedu maathE!"

The last word is NOT a spelling mistake! :)

I like gravity. It allows to walk/ run /sit/ sleep without floating in air like the astronauts in space.

I let gravity help in my everyday affairs. I let the delicate dresses drip dry without squeezing their life along with the water in them.

I let the Idli/ dosa batter slide down while down sizing the storing vessel.
I do not mess the batter with my palm/fingers.

Gravity also loves everyone and everything....have no doubt!
At times it loves us far to much for our safety and security.

Free Fall is one of the scariest experiences for a human being-
though some people find it thrilling instead of chilling!

Can anyone explain why the wheel chairs in some railways stations
have only the back wheels and the front wheels are as lame as the rider? :(

The only way to transport the user of such a chair is to tilt back the chair like a wheel burrow and push it along with the rider.

Staring at the ceiling while being pushed around thus is not a very pleasant experience...believe me!

Maneuvering a slope ( downward or upward) can end in a fatal accident.
Downward slope will shatter the jaw and face while the upward slope may end in Instant kapaala moksham! :scared:
I know since ....I rode.. I fell ....and yet I am still alive to tell! :hail:

Imagine a 70+ year old bulky and shaky lady falling backwards from the wheelbarrow wheel chair on the hard floor!

I believe in miracles and one such miracle must have saved my head from instant cracking due to the fall.

We read about bullets getting deflected/ stopped by mobile phones/ metal tokens/ under wire bra etc.

The miracle object that took the shock of the fall and saved my skull must have been the lemon-sized-silver-hair-koNdai at the back of my maNdai.

Yes truly "மண்டைக்கு வந்தது கொண்டையோடு போயிற்று!"

Oh boy! Am I happy I decided to have the koNdai instead of just wearing a rubber band on the hair let loose!

Also we need four people to pull us out of the chair and help us to stand again on our uncertain feet!

The helpers in the aircraft know more about gravity. They change the direction of the chair while maneuvering any downward slope - by making us rest on the back of the chair without fear. They do not lift the front wheels while maneuvering an upward slope!

Moral of the incident!

Free advice abound all around us!

"Go to a hospital get a scan done immediately!"

... for which area?...the whole backside??

or the whole front side which had got hurt on the previous day
by another equally bad fall in the bathroom but with my face down??? :dizzy:

My father had told us long ago that a fall followed by vomiting
is VERY DANGEROUS and needs to be attended immediately.

So Wait and Watch for the ugly symptoms was the conservative policy followed.

I have lost count of the number of falls I have had till now. It is said that Sashti Devi the consort of my ishta dheivam Murugan loves young children.

She protects them from getting harmed by the numerous fall they have as kids. I know I am too old to expect Sashti Devi to rush to my help!

So who must have saved me from these harmful falls? I bet is it is Meenakshi Devi - my dear mother! She won't let any harm befall on any of us! :hail:

Your guess is as good as mine! :thumb:

A bad head injury with visible effects like crack/ bleeding/bump must be attended to immediately.

A nasty fall may make the person faint or become unfocused...a symptom which needs immediate medical attention!

Some falls do not show visible symptoms but they also need to be monitored for the ugly warning symptoms.:puke:

All falls can become treacherous-especially those involving the dense dome!

Everyday we meet people who boast too much, who are too selfish, extremely

greedy, very egotistical, and totally ungrateful.

But we should not be surprised because we can't imagine a world without them!

Something is NOT right!

I have lived here for 19 years.

I have returned from U.S.A after a long absence of over one year and yet...

not one of my friends has either greeted me or visited me or spoken to me on the phone.

WHAT could have happened during my long absence??? :noidea:

Who will tell me the real truth and nothing but the truth??? :noidea:

BUT this is not their normal behavior to the best of my knowledge!

Are they angry with / jealous of me that I escaped the pains of

Demonetization, acute shortage of water, power cuts and the like???

Just like miracles, evil eyes (nazar/ dhrushti) is also very very real!
I believe most of my pains/aches/ sufferings result from drushti!

Who would cast an evil eye on a n old lady riddled with aches and pains?
Anyone who wonders how she can smile and be cheerful despite those aches and pains!

So when someone asks "How do you do?' should we say "Feeling on the top of the world" in a cheerful voice or mumble something incomprehensible with a drooping face and lips??? :decision:

Some random thoughts!

Correction does much. But encouragement does more.
Encouragement often censures us as the Sun after a shower.

Half the pleasure of solitude comes from having with us
some friend to whom we can say how sweet the solitude is!

"Only a higher power than man can control the powers of Atomic energy"
(Dr. Lisa Meitner)

Only a tree laden with fruits gets stoned.

Courtesy may demand a reply!
But wanton taunt is best ignored.

Education is nothing but a methodical creation of the habit of thinking.

In nature there are neither rewards, nor punishments.
There are only consequences.

Unless a person is a genius, it is best to aim at being intelligible.

We need greater virtues to bear our good fortune than the bad fortune.

The latest addition to list of painful ares... the right jaw with a swollen gum and an infected tooth?

The pain radiates from skull to the jawline like pulses of pain!

Suffering never ceases for some of the very LUCKY people like me born during a horrible Lunar eclipse!

The pain exhausts the bad merits we have earned and accumulated.

Happiness and joy exhaust the good merits accumulated by us.

So which is better of these two??? :decision:

My father visited my house in Vizag, when my sons were still in high school.

My husband had to leave for the office at 7-30 A.M. My elder son to his school at 8 A.M

and the younger son at 8-30 A.M.

So they would be looking for their socks, shoes, belt, badge, bag, specs etc, when it is time to go out.

I would be kept on my toes from 7-15 to 8-30 just to help them locate the things they were looking for.

On the very first day, after all the three left home, my father a man of few words told me,

"I thought you had two sons. But I just saw that you actually have three!"

And I have spoiled all the three of them by pampering them too much.

My sons live in USA and they had to learn to do everything on their own sooner or later.

My son (older to me) remains more or less the same, even today!

Wise quotes by find out who!

Sweet are the uses of adversity

Which, like the toad, ugly and venomous

Wears yet a priceless jewel in its head

And this our life exempt from public haunt

Finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks

Sermons in stones and good in everything.

William Shakespeare

He that loseth his honesty,
hath nothing else to lose.
(John Lyly)

Knavery may serve a turn,
but honesty never fails.
(J.Ray)

Prosperity brings friends
and adversity tests them.

Have you noticed that...

Any fool, any tyrant can make men and women weep.

But it takes genius to make them laugh. (Beverley Nicholas)

All generalizations are untrue... including this one! :thumb:

No obstacle in life is too high to jump over and
too low to cross under, at the same time?

The greatest fool can ask more than the wisest man can answer.
