Lanka was cursed to be burning all the time eons ago

by its original owner Kubera from whom

it was rudely snatched away by RAvaN.

Ever since then Lanka has been in turmoil. :flame:

I am sure someone has cursed our colony that

it must get shattered all the time! :smash:

Everyday some work has going on in some house

ever since we moved in here 17 years ago!

To top everything that has happened till now,

there is talk of the whole thing being demolished and rebuilt!

Do people think these are toy houses built by children

with plastic / wooden / magnetic pieces and tiles

to be pulled down and built again just like that???

Dear Renu!
Redirect them to the
nearest mental asylum! :loco:
They truly belong there!!!

Dear VR ji,

The Lankavatara Sutra (a Mahayana text) gives a total different account of Ravana.

In fact the 1st chapter is a conversation between Ravana and The Lord Of Dharma.

Thru the spiritual power of a Boddhisattva, Ravana was able to converse with the Lord of Dharma.

The Lord of Dharma here is depicted as having a Srivatsa mark on His chest surprisingly.

Ravana here is considered almost picture perfect and there is no mention of him abducting Seeta etc.

Dear VR ji,

When I used to work in the government hospital..even though I used to see general cases but psychiatric patients would still want to see me even though they had their sessions with their psy.

Somehow the "insane" like me..birds of a feather???LOL

Dear Renu,
RAvaN as a great scholar and a great musician.
It was his unjust lust for women in general and
Sita in particular that brought down his destruction.

Dear VR ji,

Actually the Ramayan can be written in a more philosophical manner.

Instead of depicting Ravan as lusty male..he can be made into being attached to Prakirti(Nature) instead of Purusha(Paramatma).

So Sita here is Nature(Prakirti)..he loves Nature for she is beautiful and enticing to the senses and he breaks into song and poetry on how he would never give up Prakirti come what may.

Seeing this intoxication..Paramatma decides that Ravan should identify with Paramatma and enjoy that bliss.

So its not slaying Ravan here..its slaying his attachment for Prakirti.

It would be a dance of Paramatma(Rama) and Jeevatma(Ravan) here.

The bridge to Lanka is symbolic of bridging the gap of Paramatma and Jeevatma.

An aggressive yet delicate dance that finally ends in Sayujya and not blood shed.

Wonderful Renu!

Good enough to make an interestingly different movie on RAvaN ! :clap2:

I hope someone actually films this instead of movies like Ramleela.

The title RAvaN Leela will be more captivating and
draw audience as a jack fruit attracts flies.

They will be thinking on this line...

If Ramleela was so much controvertial
how much more controvertial will RAvan leela be!

Also it proves that it ParamAtma who reaches out to the jeevatma! :thumb:

How do you come up with such original ideas dear???

TIME factor controls our lives tighter than we are ready to admit. :whip:

Setting impossible goals and trying to achieve them is the worst thing we can do!

I do not approve people's sitting idle gazing a the ceiling either. :bored:

We must work at our natural pace - without throwing away the valuable time. :bowl:

LIFE become so  when we stop looking at the clock and try to race with it.

Dear VR ji,

I feel a movie will not capture the essence...Only dance or poetry will capture this.

Only dance/poetry can bring out the feelings of the heart.

My brain is always full of some ideas or the other!(Some are X rated too!LOL)

May be I might use my Sanskrit knowledge to write poetry but writing poetry in Sanskrit is not at all easy becos its governed by Meters/Chanda and the choice of words are restricted to fit into the Chanda.

I need to polish up my prosody and Chanda for that..I did buy a book on various Chanda and prosody this time from India.

May be after I master that I might attempt to write it.

Hopefully I manage.

Dear Renu,

Please write in a language which the common people can read and enjoy.

If you write in Deva Bhaashai only scholars can read it.

Everyone else including me will denied of the pleasure of reading it! :(

It is true that dance, music and poetry convey our emotions best.

My sieving through the Tamil and English Dictionaries for homonyms

have helped me by enriching my vocabulary to get the right word

that will fit in the place /space and convey the meaning best! :)

Dear VR ji,

This is what I thought about again last night..writing in Sanskrit would make its limited to a few.

English would be the best.

Will take your advice.

When Varun is dressed in T shirt and pants
he does his tumbling and somersaults on the bed.

When he just wears his diapers and looks like Kutty Tarzan
he climbs on the shoulder of his dad does the somersaults on bed!!!

Only two Mrs. R s inquire about my health regularly.

One of them is Raji en KaNmaNi.

The other one is also a Raji - my ex-neighbor!

Now my song will make more sense!

kaNmani en kanmaNi kaNmaNi en kaNmaNi!

i used to wonder why all the famous judgements are delivered on weekends!

Was it to make sure that the person will have to taste of the jail and the jail kaLi.

Now I think it is to make sure that there is least disturbance to the others

since the next day be a holiday and the people can stay put in the safety of their houses.

But there can be no unmixed blessing right???

It is free day for the mischief makers to indulge in their favorite activities

like looting, arson and causing public nuisance in general.

With the interstate buses stopping near the borders,

the traveling population is put to a lot of trouble.

What is the corollary???

Make hay while the sun shines. :flame:

The auto fare has become tenfold!!!

In a place like Coimbatore where the auto fare is already ten fold

even on regular days what will be the fare now???

Dear VR ji,

Are we really a spouse of somebody or anybody?

In a previous life we could have been a spouse of anybody or somebody..in this life we could be a spouse of somebody or anybody and in our future lives we could be a spouse of anyone or somebody..so who are we really a spouse to?

Once I had gone for a funeral (one of my husbands relatives had passed away)..then some person came up to me and tapped my shoulder saying that she was calling out for me for so long and I never heard her.I also did not even know who this person was and why she claimed to be calling me.

I told her I did not hear her calling me. She said she was calling me non stop.

Then I told her "I did not hear my name being called at all"

She said "I was calling out non stop Mrs So and So and you never looked"

Then I started to laugh becos I am so used to be called as Renuka..no one had ever called me Mrs So and So even once in my life..no wonder I never heard her.

So you see VR ji..we are always ourselves..wife of someone or anyone are just names given to us.

dear Renu,

We are talking about two different things!

You are talking about the Naam (name) and

I am talking about the Kaam (work)

associated with being the wife of a

nobody/ somebody/ anybody

but certainly NOT everybody!

I was known as Mrs. Ramani all along.

So the husband of Mrs. Ramani must be Mr. Ramani.

One day one of my friends wondered how

both of us got the same name as Ramani

since she did not know my maiden name!

Names are only identifying people so that

you don't have to describe him/her every time! :blabla:

Despite the names we still have to describe the people :blah:

with words /actions but that is another story altogether!
