Think or sink!

These cute beetles look so real and are as agile as real ones!

Modular kitchen looks neat and tidy and cool

with everything tucked away when not in use.

But when we have to use anything at all,

it has to come out if its hiding place and

there should be free space on the counter to place it.

This will be very useful for the

space conscious + time conscious people.

Too little??? :decision: Too much???

Popular This Week: How much to tip

Some workers will think you're "the worst" if you don't tip, but for others it's "a little cheap but fine." Minimum to leave waiters »

At first I had no idea as to how much to tip for the wheel chair pushers.

So for the first time I used a wheel chair in Denver,

when a lady plumper and older than me pushed me along,

hitch hiking rides with the help of the passing electric cars,

and stood by us when we were grilled for over an hour,

for carrying a harmless packet of cumin seeds.

I gave the lady a 5$ bill.

She stood transfixed and so I added another 5$ bill.

She almost fainted with the shock.

Later my sons told me that 2$ is what

usually people pay as tips for this service

unless of course they are double (or triple) tickets themselves! :)

Adai has become a hot favorite with everyone. :hungry:

The versatile adai is eaten with different garnishing by each of us here.

I take it spicy chilli ketchup.

My husband eats it with Maple syrup

(which he has fondly renamed as MaapLe syrup!) :becky:

Thankfully we don't have any MaapLe to get annoyed with us.

Varun eats it with Vegan butter and Juju with jam

and my son and D.I.L with regular ketchup.

Today's adventure was making puris.

I had prepared the yummy pudina-tomato-potato-onion-masaalaa.

I got the dough mixed and ready but the puri press was nowhere in sight. :(

We searched high and low except where it was stored away due to non use.

"Where do we store the heavy things...

not here... not here ...not here..."

went on like the spiritual quest neti neti

(na iti na iti na iti meaning not this not this not this)

Finally it dawned on my elder son that it was stored away with the heavy things-

that real heavy cast iron pans weighing in scores of kilos.

Presto it was located and puris were released and relished.

I am sure I will have make Puris on every Sunday for the next one month!

Saturdays are already booked for the versatile adais! :thumb:

The cooking range has four concealed burners which become super hot when in use.

The surface remains dangerously hot even long after the gadget is put out.

The little monkeys in the house explore the stoves

climbing on to it by holding on to it surface. :flame:

Now transparent shielding guards are available for the cooking range.

My guess is that quite a number is mishaps must have happened

making this simple but effective invention (intervention) necessary. :thumb:
