You might fret about carelessly leaving behind valuables in the Delhi Metro, but very few people return to claim their belongings. Data collected from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) suggests that only 7.88 per cent of the commuters have actually claimed their items ever since Metro services began in the city way back in 2002. Located at the Kashmere Gate Metro station, DMRC’s ‘Lost and Found Office’ (LFO) has so far collected 16,811 items out of which a mere 1,325 have been claimed. The most common items people forget are files, mobile phones, bags, wallets, tiffin boxes and bottles,” said Vipin Jain, Special Manager at the LFO.

- as Lord Krishna puts it - "Sootre maNi gaNaa iva"

True! The earth belongs to no one - whether he be the BIG brother or merely an uneducated NATIVE INDIAN.

What affects the earth is sure to affect everyone living on it.

That is why we pray that "sarve janaa sukhino bhavanthu!'
and pray for Shanti to prevail everywhere, all the time.
