நிற்க ஓரடி நிலம்





ஒரு மிகப் பெரிய நிலச் சுவான்தார்,
ஒரு பெரிய வயல்வெளி உள்ளவர்;
போதும் என்ற மனம் இல்லாததால்,
பேராசை கொண்டு ஏங்கி நின்றார்.

ஒரு நாள் ஒரு விசித்திரமான கனவு,
ஒரு வினோத மனிதன், தன் மனம் விரும்பும்
நிலத்தைத் தனக்குத் தருவதாகக் கண்டு,
நனவாகுமா தன் கனவு என ஏங்கினார்!

மறுநாள் தன் வயல் வெளியில் அதே
மர்ம நபரை நனவிலும் கண்டார்.
மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் விரைந்து வந்தவரிடம்,
மனம் விட்டு இனிக்கப் பேசினான் அவன்.

“காலைக் கதிரவனுடன் நீயும் கிளம்பி,
மாலையில் அவன் மறையும் வரை,
நீ சுற்றி வரும் நிலம் எல்லாவற்றுக்கும்,
நீயே சொந்தம் கொண்டாடலாம் “.

கனவு நனவாவது கண்டு மகிழ்ந்து,
கரை காணாத உற்சாகத்துடன் அவர்,
கண்ணிமைக்குக் நேரத்தில் ஒரு சிறு
கன்றைப்போலத் துள்ளி ஒடலானார்!

“அதோ! அந்த நிலம் வளமையானது,
இதோ! இதுவும் நல்ல விளை நிலம் !”
தன் நிலை தெரியாமல் துள்ளி ஓடினார்;
மண் ஆசையால் மதி இழந்த மனிதர் .

கிளம்பிய இடத்திற்கே திரும்பினால் தான்,
கிடைக்கும் தான் சுற்றி வந்த நிலபுலன்கள் .
கதிரவன் மேற்கில் இறங்குவது கண்டு,
உதிரம் வற்றும்படி மிகவும் வேகமாக;

மூச்சுத் திணற, கண்கள் தெறிக்க, நா வரள,
உடல் நோக ஓடிக்கொண்டே இருந்தார்.
சூரியன் மறைந்து விட்டான் , இவரும்
சுருண்டு விழுந்தார் வெறும் பிணமாக!

மனிதன் நிற்க ஓர் அடி நிலம் போதும்,
மனிதன் இருக்க இரண்டு அடி நிலமும் ,
அவன் கிடக்க ஆறு அடி நிலமும் தேவை;
அனைவரும் அறிவார் இவ்வுண்மையினை.

இன்னமும் வேண்டும் என்று நினைத்து,
இன்னுயிர் போகும்படி பேராசையுடன்;
மாங்கு மாங்கென்று அங்கே ஓடுவனேன்?
மனிதன் தன் இன்னுயிரை விடுவானேன்?

போதும் என்ற மனமே பொன் செய்யும் மருந்து!

A couple had been stripped and paraded naked in the Kanore village of Rajasthan for eloping. Although the boy has been rescued by his family from the clutches of the villagers in exchange of Rs 80,000; the girl’s family has failed to rescue her and ended up as captives by the villagers.

போதும் என்ற மனமே பொன் செய்யும் மருந்து!........................The right moral is that realisation should come to everybody right in the middle of the carrier / life . No use in getting it at the fag end of the last lap the run in life.

Ruling party / opposition are simply keeping quiet and counting the vote banks in the village and adjacent areas;

Spread of education is the only remedy to relieve the people from the clutches of barbarism.

Aren't you forgetting those people who never ever feel
போதும் என்ற மனமே பொன் செய்யும் மருந்து!

No amount of hoarding is sufficient for them and they forget that
they can't take a singe naya paisa with them to the next world!

The things which we can take during transmigration are the
merits of our good actions, our knowledge and devotion.
Since those who run after money will NOT be doing these things which waste their time and energy.
As a result the poor souls of those princely people will enter the next world literally as paupers!

I know people who carry their pillows/ beds/chair /cushion..as essentials for their very existence.

Some people can't sleep without Air condition. So they keep away from poorer relatives!

செறிந்த அறிவினன் ஆத்மா ஆயினும்,
சிறந்த உடலின்றி இயங்க இயலாதவன்;
துரத்தும் கரும வினைகளை அழிக்கவும்,
துறந்த மனதுடன் சித்திக்கு முயலவும்;

கடமை உணர்வுடன் உடலைப் பேணுவீர்!
உடலே ஆத்மா குடியிருக்கும் கோவில்;

திண்டினைத் தேடி, நாடுவது எதற்கு?

கனி, காய்கறிகள் பசி தீர்க்கும் எனில்,
இனிக்கும் உணவினைத் தேடுவது எதற்கு?
பருத்தி ஆடைகளே மானம் மறைப்பதால்,
பகட்டான ஜரிகை பட்டாடைகள் எதற்கு?

புன்னகையால் முகம் பொலிவுடன் இருக்க,
பொன்னகையைத் தேடி போவது எதற்கு?
சின்ன இல்லத்தில், சீரிய வாழ்வு என்னாமல் ,
மின்னலைத் தொட்டிடும் மாளிகைகள் எதற்கு?

தன் தலைமுறை வாழ வழி செய்தாலும்,
பின் ஏழு தலைமுறைக்கு சேர்ப்பது எதற்கு?
பளபளக்கும் பேருந்து பயணம் இருக்க,
குளுகுளு வண்டிகளை வாங்குவது எதற்கு?

“மரத்தை வைத்தவன் தண்ணீர் ஊற்றுவான்”
மற்ற உயிரினங்கள் முற்றும் நம்புகின்றன,
மனிதன் மட்டும் “இன்னமும் வேண்டும்”, என
மாளாத் துயரைத் தேடிச் செல்கிறான்.

தேவையைக் குறைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்,
சேவையை பெருக்கிப் பாருங்கள்;
தனக்கென வாழ்பவனுக்கு தன்னிறைவில்லை,
தனக்கென வாழாதான் தன்னிறைவடைகிறான்.

We are not animals to be forced to walk around in our birth-suit of plain skin! :panda:
Even the animals have fur/ feathers or thick hides to cover them modestly.

As for education refining people I have my own serious doubts.

The pretty girl who got hacked yesterday in Nungampaakkam was
surely hacked by her well educated colleague/ lover/ friend/ relative! :tsk:

There is a trace of sadism in every human being and
it expresses itself at every available opportunity. :evil:

Chinese work as hard as or even harder than Indians.

Every time I used to walk around the University in USA at night with my son and husband,
I would find only Chinese and Indians working hard on some problem of their research.

The Americans would also be working hard but elsewhere for some other purpose!

So despite the very high cut off marks and the other hurdles placed in their progress
USA is filled with Chinese and Indians of all types, in all levels, and in all professions!
 
If Americans start behaving like our famous son-of-the soil and try to send back everyone else

there is going to be big trouble since only native Indians were the original inhabitants of America.

All the while, pink, brown, black and yellow people had come there from elsewhere in the world.

I wish her eyes brows can keep up with her ability to pop her eyes! :)

Kim Goodman holds the world record for the farthest eyeball protrusion. She can pop her eyes out of her eye sockets by 0.47 inches! She discovered her ability to do so when she was hit on the head with a hockey mask. Since then she has been able to pop her eyes out on cue.

Weight has direct bearing to the eating habit rather than wandering with weight on his head. It appears that he should have weight inside his head also.
