[h=3]Hitler's trousers, Goering's cyanide container sold at auction[/h] Trousers with leather pockets worn by Adolf Hitler and a brass container that held the cyanide used by a top deputy to commit suicide were among a trove of Nazi memorabilia sold for hundreds of thousands of euros at an auction in Germany. The sale of items from a collection of an American medical officer who attended to the needs of defendants at the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials was condemned by Germany's Jewish community as "scandalous" and "disgusting". German media said one Argentine bidder spent over 600,000 euros ($681,060) alone at Hermann Historica's weekend auction in Munich, snapping up Hitler's trousers and military jacket, and an aviator watch that belonged to Hermann Goering, the beefy Nazi air force commander, among other things.

[h=3]People not happy with half of Congress MLAs: Party report[/h] An internal survey of the Congress does not paint a rosy picture for the party, insiders told The Indian Express. This does not auger well for the party that is struggling to recover from the Kamal Nath episode. The appointment of Nath as Punjab in-charge earned the ire of many sections of the public as they accused him of being party to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

[h=3]'Any Exemption to India for NSG Entry Must Also Apply to Pak'[/h] In an unusual move, China's state media today defended Pakistan's nuclear record, saying it was A Q Khan who was responsible for atomic proliferation which was not backed by the government and argued that any exemption to India for NSG entry should also be given to Pakistan. "While India strives for Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) inclusion, it prevents Pakistan from joining by insisting on the latter's bad record of nuclear proliferation. Actually, the proliferation carried out by Pakistan was done by Abdul Qadeer Khan, Pakistan's chief nuclear scientist, and was not an official policy of the Pakistani government," an article in the state-run Global Times said. "Khan was punished by the government

Congress losing power as it did not listen to Gandhi: Rajnath Singh

Porbandar: Taking a dig at Congress for losing powers in many states, senior BJP leader and Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said it did not listen to the advice of Mahatma Gandhi to work for the development of villages and poor. Addressing a 'Vikas Parv' rally held to celebrate the completion of NDA government's two years in office, Singh said Gandhiji had given a call for 'gram swaraj' for the development of rural areas and the underprivileged sections. "Congress was in power for 54 years and that is not a very short period of time to develop the country. But the Congress did not listen to the advice of Gandhiji which resulted it losing power gradually in most parts of the country," he

'To Belittle' is 'to Be little!' :tsk:

[h=3]Sonia Gandhi did everything to belittle PV Narasimha Rao, says kin[/h] Hyderabad: “Congress president Sonia Gandhi didn’t expect P.V. Narasimha Rao to last as PM for the full five-year term, but for about two years. She was worried about the Nehru-Gandhi legacy. She did everything to belittle him,” said N.V. Subhash, the late PM’s grandson. Mr Subhash said that though the Congress did not honour the great reformist, he was happy that Prime Minister Modi has done it. “P.V.’s memorial is almost ready and will be opened on June 28, on his 95th birth anniversary. If all goes well, P.V. may be honoured with Bharat Ratna next year,” he said. Mr Subhash is now with the BJP. “Sonia Gandhi did not want a cremation or a memorial in New Delhi since people would flock to it
