Tamil Mantras

Vanakkam to all. Its been a while since I had a chance to get back to the forum. I have been attending many temples and places of worship in Verulam, which has become part of my life. Due to reasons the Shree Emperumal Temple in Oaklands, Verulam is now without a full time priest. We conduct a weekly abishegam on all the murthis, and being without a priest, we want this abishegam to continue. I have very little knowledge of the Tamil language, but would like to serve the temple in whichever way possible.

I am looking or appropriate simple mantras for each deity. Could someone PLEASE give me some guidelines.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I do not follow your intentions with the temple. Are you saying you are going to do pujas to all the devatas yourself until your temple finds a priest?

In that case, I suggest you raise your above question with some other priest you can come in contact with, working perhaps for a different temple.

As for simple slokas, you can buy a stotra book and start reciting stotras in them. I know one stotra in Tamil for Sri Rama - 'naalaayira divyaprabandha paasura raamaayanam'. Like this, other members might know many more stotras for the devatas in Tamil language. A good Tamil stotras book would help you - pl. search in LIFCO publications for them.
