Hello! I'm Gita and I want to know about rituals for solar eclipse.

Tomorrow there will be a total solar eclipse which will not be visible in India. Do we still have to do puja? If so what puja and when? Will temples be open or not? What, if any, other rituals are required?

I look forward to replies and will be grateful for same. Thank you.

Is the Lunar eclipse visible on 4th April in India ? I see in many temples that they have arranged parihara homas for people born in certain nakshatrams on that day. But I understand from some people that the eclipse will not be visible in India.Clarification in this regard would be helpful.

4-4-2015 அன்று சந்த்ர கிரஹணம் மாலை 3-45 மணி முதல் 7-15 மணி வரை உள்ளது.மாலை சந்திர உதயம் 6-15 மணிக்கு. ஆதலால் மாலை 6-15 முதல் 7-15 வரை இந்தியா, ஶ்ரீலங்கா, ஆசியா, ஆஸ்த்ரேலியா அந்தமான் மாலத்தீவுகளில் தெரியும். உத்திரம்,ஹஸ்தம், திருவோணம், ரோஹிணி, சித்திரை நக்ஷத்திர காரர்கள் சாந்தி செய்து கொள்க. பெளர்ணமி சிராத்தம் மறுநாள் செய்யவும். பகலில் போஜனம் கூடாது.மோக்ஷ ஸ்னானம் செய்த பின் போஜனம் தயார் செய்து சாப்பிடவும்.

ஜய நாம ஸம்வத்ஸரே உத்தராயணே சிசிர ருதெள மீன மாஸே க்ருஷ்ன பக்ஷே ப்ரதமாயாம் புண்ய திதெள ஸ்திர வாஸர ஹஸ்த நக்ஷத்திர யுக்தாயாம் வ்யாகத நாம யோக பாலவ கரண ஏவங்குண ------------------ப்ரதமாயாம் புண்யதிதெள ( ப்ராசீனாவீதி ) ---------------------------------------------------அக்ஷய த்ருப்தியர்த்தம் ஸோமோபராக புண்ய காலே தர்ச சிராத்தம் தில தர்பண ரூபேண அத்ய கரிஷ்யே.

உத்திரம்; ஹஸ்தம்; சித்திரை நக்ஷத்திர காரர்கள் இந்த்ரோ, அனலோ, யமோ ரக்ஷோ, வருணோ, வாயுரேவச, குபேரே செளக்னந்து இந்து ப்ராகோத்த வ்யதாம் மம. என்ற ஸ்லோகத்தை எழுதி நெற்றியில் கட்டிகொள்ளவும். வாத்யாருக்கு தானம் செய்யவும்.உபராக சாந்தி செய்து கொள்ளவும்.
