Sir,

If you live in India, a daily sheet calendar / panchAngam is good enough to find the correct date of shrAddham.

On some days, thithi and srAddha thithi may be different. So we have to look ONLY for srAddha thithi.

It is not at all difficult.

Online Panchang, Hindu Panchangam is a good site for people living abroad.

The days between New Moon and Full Moon are in Shukla paksham and

the days between Full moon and New moon are in Krishna paksham.

If the thithi comes twice in the same month, then sraddha should be performed on the day when the thithi comes first. By the way, for janmanakshatra, i.e. for birthdays, we take nakshatra. If the nakshatra comes twice in the same month, then we should take only the second one.

I don't think it is always so.

Just two examples: (Ref - pAmbu panchAngam)

This year - Heyvilambi Chithirai month, first Thritheeyai which occurs on the 1st day of the month is shoonya thithi.

And, second Thritheeyai, which occurs on the 30th day of the same month is given as srAddha thithi.

In Avani month, first two days have shoonya thithis. Second Shashti and Sapthami thithis are given as srAddhda thithis.

If possible, seniors can explain why it is like this.
