Shiva temple in Tamil Nadu

Hi
I want to know a big shiva temple which is located at the bank of river. I heard that Kasi viswanathar temple located at the bank of Ganges river.

Is thiruvanikoil Jalakandeswar temple located at the bank of river Cauvery ?

The place is ThiruvAnaikkAval. Google search will give you all the details about this temple.

There could be many more temples on the banks of river Cauvery. Other than Thiruvanaikaval, Sri Panchanadheeswara Swamy temple is on Cauvery river. Of course the river bank has extended to present position due to habitation. A bath here gives you the sanctity of a bath in Ganges. Of course you hear this at every river or pond.
