Hi i have a pitalai siva lingam gifted to me by a relative.This lingam has been kept at the holy feet of sundreshwarar in madurai.I intend to do pooja for this lingam at home .Are there are rules like only sphatika lingam should be worshiped at home .

Only the size of the lingam/ must be to the length of your finger from top to bottom you can do pooja in your house , If the size length(height) is more than 3 inches you should not do pooja in your house ,no problem about metal, Linga puranam and siva puraanam tells you how to do shiva linga pooja, available in Giri Trading company,
