In an unexpected move, the Supreme Court has taken serious note of criticism of its judgment and lack of legal knowledge by former SC judge Markandey Katju.

(7) No person who has held office as a Judge of the Supreme Court shall plead or act in any court or before any authority within the territory of India.

The case pertains to the rape & murder of Ramya...SC rescinded the judgment of trail court and saved the convict from noose..I think Justice Katju is taking up cudgels on behalf of the aggrieved common man

This is not the first time he differs with SC judgements and observation

"What the Supreme Court has done is unconstitutional and illegal. There has been violation of principles of the Constitution. Under our Constitution, we have legislature, executive and judiciary. There is a broad separation of functions. It's the legislature's prerogative to make laws. If judiciary starts making laws, one is setting a dangerous precedent," Katju said at a media conference.
