Sakigramam Puja How to dispose off

My sister died a few days back. he had with her a Saligramam and Puja which their family had for generations. After her husband;s death she was having a Vadyar to do the Pooja
Her son does not want it
How to deal with the Saligramam and Puja. Seeking advice

you may give that saligramam to the vadhyar who used to come there to do puja. or you may throw that in temple tanks which is having water. or you may give that to anybody whi will do puja to saligramam daily. or you may give that to kanchi mutt or sringery mutt.
