Reality and illusion

Why should there be anything at all instead of nothing? A very fundamental question. The best way to approach this is to start by saying existence prevails over non existence and that makes existence fundamental. By extension it makes eternity fundamental. This is the physical aspect. But if something exists what's the point if it is not aware it exists. So self awareness or self consciousness is another fundamental aspect. This is the mental thing. What if the existence turns out to be a torture. So if it is eternal and we are self aware it has to be pleasant or in other words blissful. This is the third or the spiritual aspect of reality.

That's how Brahman was succinctly defined as existence, consciousness and bliss. In a non ultimate or illusory reality we may have the non real aspects come and go. That's why we call it un real or illusion.

The more one is aligned with spirituality the more real one is. Typically he is expected to be calm and sattvic, but a twist is he can be assertive and forceful but not at others expense. Both are different sides of spirituality. If one can be both as the context demands he possesses divine or consummate spirituality.

One of the reasons illusion seems impregnable because it makes you think your views are only right and others are wrong. It projects those beliefs on others. That firm rootedness in ones misplaced beliefs makes it very stubborn. It goes to any extent to ensure the safety and pervasiveness of its beliefs.

The difference between dharma and adharma, it needs only one dharmic though formidable person to take on all of adharma. In the process though he converts people. But adharmic person cannot stand alone.

Illusion cannot be glossed over as it is rooted in stubbornness. Those caught in illusion are swept over totally by it. They don't understand illusory energy is not part of them , is extraneous and takes decision on their behalf. It makes them believe they are the doers and gives them false confidence. God only can pull them out of their plight but God has an objective. He wants to ensure that lessons will be learnt thoroughly. Till then He is in no hurry.

With advances in Science and technology people think they are Gods. Utter fools. They don't understand this illusion theory that they are not in control. What is actually happening or happened or will happen are all past as for as spiritual reality is concerned.

Using technology the vested interests have smeared and destroyed many spiritual people. Heart of hearts they fear spirituality and believe in its truths. But they are adamant and somehow want to prevail over spirituality. They use their force and might to do that. They have been doing it successfully. But I think the game is over. They have hit upon a dead end now. Technology is failing dismally. It's a shame. A body of knowledge is being smeared. Let's see if they can make technology work

Brahmn Satyam, Jagat Mithya: God Is Truth, The World An Illusion.

the concept of Brahmn Satyam and Jagat Mithya. According to the Advaita philosophy, Brahman is considered to be the only reality or Satyam. The word 'Brahman' is derived from Sanskrit and signifies something that is limitlessly big and without any limitations. It is believed to be the intelligent and material cause of the origin, existence, and dissolution of the Jagat or world. Shankara, a prominent philosopher, explains that the jagat is composed of various names, forms, doers, and enjoyers, all dependent on specific time and space. Brahman is seen from both an empirical point of view (Vyavaharika) and an absolute point of view (Paramarthika).

then you state:
Using technology the vested interests have smeared and destroyed many spiritual people.

If spiritual people are spiritual souls, How can they be destroyed?

No weapon can pierce the soul; no fire can burn it; no water can moisten it; nor can any wind wither it. The soul is uncleavable [indivisible]; it cannot be burnt or wetted or dried. The soul is immutable, all-permeating, ever-calm, and immovable— eternally the same. The soul is said to be imponderable, unmanifested, and unchangeable. Therefore, knowing it to be such, thou shouldst not lament! —The Bhagavad Gita II:23-25 -- Read more: http://yogananda.com.au/gita/gita0223-25.html

Soul of neither spiritual nor materialistic person can be destroyed. Many things are beyond our cranial capacity. Take it easy. I didn't mean that.

Actually the law of Karma isnt an unfair one.
Even the most innocent in our eyes has the compatible karma to undergo the suffering.
The person causing the suffering will become a victim one day either in this birth or in another birth.

But we can improve the situation by taking the needed actions to prevent the suffering.

Renuka,

You are right. Karma is fair but also very intricate and something very difficult to understand.

But those inflict pain and suffering on others now will have their due too. There is no escape Renuka.

One thing I certainly believe about karma is it is most unbiased may be even equated with ruthlessness.
