Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa on Saturday offered prayers at the Lord Venkateswara shrine in Tirumala.
Mr. Rajapaksa who is on a two-day visit to the holy shrine participated in the Suprabhata seva – a pre-dawn ritual performed in the early hours. He was accompanied by his wife Sharathi Rajapaksa besides a 70 member delegation.

Even though he is entitled to the ‘Mahadwaram’ entry he rather preferred reaching the temple complex through the Vaikuntam queue complex like any other commoner.

Hello Sir, Incidents like this occur more often to the most powerful shrines in India, Either we have to be quiet like this or protest this ,but being a common place we might face opposition from our own place .What else to say after seeing the snap (what ever be the attitude,nature of person ,we do not comment/ react) NO COMMENTS.:decision: :tape: :noidea:.

Hindu News Report says President Rajapaksha used commoner's route. But for security reasons, they would have stopped other commoners.

I know it is rhetorical question, what would you like to see ?
Him standing in line like ordinary folks and some Tiger sympathizer killing him, would that be acceptable?

Five fingers of your hand are not same, similarly we are all not same.
The only thing we should strive in equal opportunity, not that everyone will be identical.

Whether some Tamils like him or not, he is the President of a democratic country.
He must be given all honours that is due to a Head of a country.
If something happens to him that will tarnish the image of India.
I am happy that everything went on very well, at least in Andhra Pradesh.
