Raja Thatha’s Stories on I phone and I pad
Six years ago , when I was fiddling my thumb in USA , I suddenly felt that all the stories for children that we read are not Indian oriented. So I started rewriting many well known stories in the Indian context-with characters from India and in the back ground of Indian places. When I returned back from USA , My daughter helped me to put all those stories in a web site called Raja Thatha’s corner(Stories for Indian children ) Later taking in to account the great response it generated from parents and kids , I added some stories from Upanishads and also some stories to teach , the principles of Bhagwad Gita. Later I simply got involved in translation of stotras and Carnatic classical music. Recently my young friend Sri Muthu Rama has done the great job of not only translating these stories in to Tamil but also converted them as I phone apps. After doing that he has written to me :-

“Finally converted your stories to iPhone App for both English and Tamil

I know translation is not great (English to Tamil)”
Me being a museum piece , not knowing anything about an I phone or apps or I pads , I could understand that a great job has been done and these can be downloaded by large number of people and kids and read conveniently , I request all of you to tell those of your acquaintances who have these gadgets , about the availability of large number of Indian stories in their I pad /I phone.
