64% of India's unelectrified villages electrified between April 2015 to date, <5000 left to be electrified by May 2017.

Electrification means only putting up some electric poles in many areas.

Some also have wires between poles.

Hardly any electricity flows there.

All this statistics is to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Even in top metros how many get 24by 7 supply all through the year?

Only 71% of population have electricity...24 crores do not have this..It is a luxury for these,,,After electrifying the non electrified villages the next target has to be increasing number of households using electricity...There should be subsidies for this
