Prayachiththam/ Astrological remedies suggested by so called priestly class people

When a politician approaches a priest and ask him if he can do any yagas and yagnas to win a case and win elections the astrologers recommends a number of fire sacrifices so that he can come out of particular problem or multiple problems.

Is there any yaga and yagna to be conducted by the innocent public that will make all the politicians good for people and corrupt free? Will these yagas help to bring unaccounted money to the book? will it bring monies hidden in foreign bank in to our account? Is there any yagas that will make all officials to say that they will not accept any bribe and agree for an understanding that hereafter they will work for the welfare of the society? Is there any yagas that will make the terrorists to turn law abiding citizens? If the priestly class people quotes the rate for doing these yagas will some NGO s come forward to sponsor?
Will any one answer any one of the question raised above?

I cannot give you an authoritative answer to this, but I can only say that Yagas and Poojas were possibly not intended for such deeds. Having said that I can add that specific poojas and Yagnas can be performed for the general welfare of a community or for being insulated by the vagaries of a certain actions.

All these remedial measures, I believe, are only for specific problems or for mitigating problems.. So you cannot perform a yaga and expect that a bad person turns into a good person. That will take its natural course. That is the whole purpose of existence, to be enlightened. Of course yagas may be part of that natural course especially when the problems are acute

For general welfare Sankaracharyars are doing Yagas. They say for the welfare of the society they do yagas. But society remains are turning worst! Every one say for Loghashema they do yagas. But Logham remaing same and unchanged!

When Ygas satisfy the Planets who will favour the Kartha They say that plant sees you in negative Parvai sariyillai, and that planet is worst and you are to satisfy him, and you are to do the remedy., when Prayachitha can satisfy a planet why can't we request the Guru to do yagas that will give him a broad mind?

None of the things listed by you will be possible, imho. Yagas and yajnas were believed in by our very ancient people of the vedic period and the priestly class who later on became what is today called the brahmin caste, developed specialization in conducting the yagas/yajnas just as the military experts perform various acrobatics on motor cycles. But even those vedic priests are not reported to have made any spectacular achievements by doing such yagas; it is only in the puranas and itihasas that we find such unbelievable stories. We people have been quite primitive in completely believing all these tall fables for so long. Your OP is proof that such baseless belief still exists in peoples' minds.

Politicians will improve if the whole population improves and becomes better human beings. But in India we have a culture which is highly corrupt, which prides itself in disobeying/short-circuiting laws and rules as equivalent to heroism and which has one of the lowest civic sense. Politicians also grow out of this very same society only. May be one or two people like you are very honest and different but those will be rare exceptions and exceptions strengthen the rule.

One could think that there is some goodness still happenning and attribute it to the good gestures of these Archaryas,
or think that they are wasteful.
As long as we do not attribute the worsening of the events to these yagas I should feel Ok
