Performing ceremony for my father

Sir,
My father's Shardham falls on the day of Varalakshmi Vratham.
Can we perform ceremony, if so when?

first preferance only goes to your father" s ceremony. do it as usual. Then after 5 P.m. you may do varalakshmi vratham. you both can take pithrushesham meals as usual. Then you may do varalakshmi vratham puja.

Thanks for the reply. For Varalakshmi Vratham function, ladies need to be on fast and is it possible on the Shrardham day when they take 'pithur sesham'. Sir, pl. explain to me and do not mistake. Thanks & Regards

they have to take pithru sesham after varalakshmi pooja is over. It is agreeable by our sastras. It will be taken as fasting.
