Nirma was no. 1 detergent and displaced hindustan unilever's surf from the pedestal. Now 'gadi' brand from cow belt is no. 1 as it displaced nirma some years ago. Nirma family suffered a misfortune (I think daughter was killed in an accident), and the brand kept a low profile with min advts and shifted focus to raw chemicals. Perhaps the group now wants to pluck back the no. 1 status with new advt thrust. I doubt whether this bizarre advt will help!
