Respectable members, Greetings.

I request you all to share some of the unforgettable scenes from various movies, please. By the way, kindly provide translations if scenes from movies other than Tamizh and English are presented, please.

Kindly provide the reason for posting such scenes.... more by the way of sharing personal experiences, please; it would make the thread more enjoyable, I think.

I and my wife were just married. In fact, under 3 months. She was just 17 years old. She had not seen any English movies before. One day when I came home for lunch, I asked her to be ready to go out before I get home after work.... we left without wasting much time... She asked me why I was rushing.. I explained, we couldn't afford to miss the initial scene of the movie we were going to watch. She saw that scene almost with disbelief...

That movie was 'Spy Who Loved Me'. In that one evening, my wife after watching her first movie, became Roger Moore's fan in those days!

Greetings.

I was about 17 years old or there abouts. In the nearby town, 'live And Let Die' was screened, a re-run, new print. So, after work, I took off to watch the movie (my Saturday night show mate did not like English movies; so, I had to watch this movie in the week- night after work). It was my first 'Roger Moore' movie. I was glad I watched that movie. Even after all these years, still I remember watching the 'boat chase scene' almost open-mouthed! Needless to say, later on in my life, I got my wife and children to watch that movie (they loved it too, by the way).

Here is the boat chase scene....

Greetings.

Our son was 5 or 6 years old. I had some business to go to Mount Road Post Office Area in Chennai. Our son was having school holiday, I let him to tag along. Once I completed what I had to do, we went to watch our first English movie together in one of the theatres in that area. It was 'Over The Top'.

Here are few scenes from that movie.... ‪Over the top - In This Country...........@ beigou‬‏ - YouTube

Greetings.

I was about 14 years old. There was a theatre in town dedicated to only English movies. One my classmates went to town and watched an English movie with his dad. The next day at school, he was all exited, not about the movie but about a trailer... he said the name was something to do with 'eagle'.. he didn't quite remember the name. at the following week-end, begged for a rupee, as usual, lied to my mum that I was going to my friend's place to study......

Here is the opening music by Filmharmonic.... ‪Filmharmonic, Where eagles dare opening theme in HD‬‏ - YouTube

Greetings.

Many moons ago, when I was a teen-ager.... I had to go to town to the hardware store... I noticed a western movie was playing in that 'English movies only' theatre.. an old movie though.. before purchasing the 'bench' ticket, I made sure it was a 'new print'.... To tell the truth, I did not like the title scenes at all.. almost thought, I bought a lemon! (I knew nothing about that movie, since I had not seen the trailer) It turns out to be one of the greatest movies!

Here is the famous dialogue from that movie.... When You Have To Shoot, Shoot, Don't Talk! - YouTube

I thought of posting the theme from that movie..... It may be possible, some of the members may want to watch the whole movie.......

Dear friends, Greetings.

This movie I am about post raised an hilarious situation. It was the during the initial months of our married life. Terrence Hill movie was playing in town. By then, my wife was quite upset with me because, I was either taking her to 'touring talkies' for watching old movies (although she loved every one of those movies) or to a depressed looking theatre to watch English movies. So, she asked the background about this movie 'They call me Trinity'. When I said it was a western movie, she concluded it would be a serious movie with shooting, hard to understand English language, blood and gory......... Once I realised that, I took no initiative to change her mind and escorted her to watch this movie....... (At the end of the movie, she stayed quite upset with me anyway for not cautioning her that the movie was a comedy......)

(If you haven't watched it before, it's well worth the time... can be quite entertaining).
