Dear Friends
Iam planning to make a trip to Manthralayam in December. So it will be of great help if anyone can give me details regarding puja timings and the procedure for booking accommodation at the Mutt choultry. I tried browsing for the address to book rooms but couldn’t get details.

If you are in Chennai, please try Raghavendra Mutt, Triplicane in the following website

SRI RAGHAVENDRA SWAMY MUTT, TRIPLICANE, CHENNAI

One of my colleague visited Mantralayam last year and he informs me that you can get spot booking at Mantralayam only.

Information is also available in the following Mantralaym website including pooja timings

SREE RAGHAVENDRA GURU DEVASTANAM

I visited Mantralayam long back and I travelled by Chennai Mumbai mail which leaves Chennai in the late night and reaches Mantralayam road around 9 AM next day morning. Return I took Dadar- Chennai Egmore express which leaves Mantralayam road around 11.30 AM and reaches chennai by 8 PM same day.

Food is no problem as free lunch is served in the mutt itself. Night you can get tiffin in the canteen in the premises. You can take bath in the Tunga Badra river.

Wish you very happy journey and also blessings of Guru Raghavendra

All the best

You can try at Mantralayam itself for accommodation. You are supposed to do seva at the Mutt. Please make sure you do not go there on any 'Ekadasi' day; there is no seva on this day. You can go early in the morning and can have darshan a few times. It is like other temple places. Seva includes that you MUST partake 'pandhi' bhojana free on getting tickets free telling out your gotram. In winter, i.e. markazhi the seva starts very early. You can have night meals outside. A totally serene place, places you at your own will and atmosphere not affected by personalities or braggarts. A world within this world but away from it at the same time. One place not in pace with other commercialised temples. Panchamukhi Hanuman is about 15 km to be included in the visit. Transports available.
