Major social media disaster for Govt and Media !!

Great opportunity came in the wake of the terrible Pulwama attack and this govt blew it by openly taking advantage of this for the upcoming elections. Post the Pulwama, there was massive outpouring and support for the govt. And the airstrikes were very well received and there was jubilation everywhere.

Then came the major reversal, Pakistan f16 jets way superior to ours shot down 2 jets and took our pilot captive. And they launched one of the most devastating social media war.

Pakistanis began to taunt all the Indians on social media and started asking why india did not release any video confirmation of the air strikes when they released the video of their air fight and the pilot.

International media was already reporting that 2 Indian jets were down and 2 pilots captured. Indians both right wing and left wing were shaken by this turn of event. Govt and BJP IT cell were shell shocked and didn't know how to react. Complete radio silence.

Pakistanis with the support of their news media, went hammer and tong with the narrative that Indian govt is lying. Terrible.

Many right wingers fought a valiant war against Pakistan on social media, but when MEA accepted that 1 pilot is missing in action, they could no longer defend against the Pakistanis.

And then when the Indian media started denying, they started trending #Shameonindianmedia. Complete decimation.

Our youngsters on social media were swamped with all these messages and were shocked and shaken that their own govt and media can lie so blatantly, and began to get angry at this betrayal.

And Imran's peace talk began to trend when he said he will release the pilot so we can begin talks. And Indian right wing was portrayed as war mongering for elections.

And with USA and Russia involved, this war will never happen now even if right wing wants to use it to win the elections.

And what congress and mahagatbhandan could never do, Pakistan did. They delivered the sucker punch on the entire mainstream and social media which was in the control of right wing groups.

In the meanwhile, BJP leaders were busy electioneering, busy making ridiculous statements. Social media erupted in revolt against yeddyurappa statement that the air strikes will help BJP sweep Karnataka. Twitter was and is still trending this.

And the entire social media focus is on Abhinandan and his heriocs. Rightly the people have started focussing on the armed forces bravery and commitment instead of these politicians.

Now, the biggest trend is #Gobackmodi by Tamils. This is after such media coverage on the Pulwama and air strikes. What a mess !!

Over 400 mil Indian youngsters are on social media and they were the biggest supporters of BJP after the massive anti corruption wave against UPA 2.

Now they are openly lashing out at the govt and right wing groups. Today's youngsters are way too smart compare to earlier generations. They are not ideologically driven and they are seeing through this deception and lying.

And now this win has turned into a disaster for the govt and worse people have lost total confidence on the mainstream media.

An IAF helicopter crashed in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday, killing both its pilots and four others on-board besides a local resident.
There is no mention of how this Helicopter met with the Crash and most of the media did not give much importance to this event. 5 People have been killed and not much media coverage for them .

Modi made a special mention of Tamil Nadu..stating that defence minister and Abhinandan are both from TN.

At times, reality is stranger than fiction.
The PAF F16 Wg Cdr Shahzaz Ud Din of No 19 Squadron flying F-16s killed in action yesterday on 27 February was the son of Air Marshal Waseem Ud Din, DCAS (Operations) of PAF. IAF Wg Cdr Abhinandan (who is the son of an IAF Air Marshall) shot down the F16 flown by the son of the PAF Air Marshall before his own Mig 21 Bison was hit by Pakistani anti aircraft gunfire and was downed and captured.
So two sons of Air Marshals fought it out mid-air up in the skies..... Wg Cdr Abhinandan (IND) in MIG & now Late, Wg Cdr Shahzaz Ud Din(PAK) in F-16. Both fell from the skies, one could not survive.
The sad part is that the Pakistani pilot who ejected in the Pakistani occupied part of J&K was hurt but alive when landed but was lynched (beaten mercilessly nearly to death) by the mob who took him as a fallen Indian. When it was identified as ‘our own man’ and taken to hospital, he could not survive. Nothing can be more heartbreaking than the untimely termination of a young life. My heartfelt Condolences to the family of Shahzaz.
The Indian pilot is returning home tomorrow to his family. In a 2017 Bollywood movie, an Indian Air Force squadron leader jet is shot down and he ends up in prison in Pakistan. The character ultimately escapes and returns to his family. His father Air Marshal S Varthaman (Retired) was a consultant for the film. His son is returning home rather sooner but another AirMarshall was not that lucky.
Life is to cherish and not to be lost to the greed of politicians and creed of the generals. Only if Pakistan could stop following the 7th century Arab terror theology these innocent brave sons of the Indian soil could live happily & in peace. It had the capacity but the continuous religious indoctrination and wahabisation, through the auspices of the junta has turned the country into a graveyard of rationality, reason and common-sense.
The subcontinent could have healed the wounds of the partition. But no attempt was made to make bridges. The region was which could have become a heaven on earth has been turned into a living hell due to the greed of a few.

When Hatred is being spread especially in a War like situation these sort of things are inevitable only that in this case ( if the case of Pak Pilot is true ) it costed the other side badly and we were happy to have our Pilot back in safe hands even though he got a royal thrashing in the beginning .
This sort of Mob Mentality is what the Politicians want so that people can be Polarized and you can accuse the other group to be traitors . Thankfully Abhinandan episode did not allow this polarization to take place and united people all over India . Some Uncomfortable questions for Modi and his Bhakts regarding the current Militray action against Pakistan

The question raised boils down to this:
Govt is making a lot of noise about Abhinandan while it makes no noise about other similar deaths and there is politics in that or no0t.

While for Thirumurugan Gandhi and the likes every action of Government is fit for their dirty politicking, the public perception is different. As a part of the public I view this as follows:

Abhinandan came to notice because he was caught by Pakistan. And Govt had to make a lot of noise about abhinandan in order to get him back in the country alive.
For all those who die in the cause of nation in the war front the nation salutes each one of them for their supreme sacrifice. Period.

My view is, for now, this war mongering jumla is over. F16s superiority has dented any possibility of further air strikes, as Pakistan will retaliate with devastating impact. And losing wars will result in massive electoral loss, so they will not attempt any more of this til elections are over.

But this govt will continue to carpet bomb the people via the paid mainstream media on its heriocs despite losing the air battle.

Now the election jumla starts. They are convinced that Pulwama will deliver 400 seats

During joint military exercise with US, there are reports that despite being of lower tech MIG 21 bet F16 in 9 out of 10 times. This was attributed by US due to superior training and flying skills cum motivation of Indian pilots.

Unless there is a official study and report by the US Air Force acknowledging the superiority of a 50 yr old Cold War era technology with some upgrades against f16s, no way we will believe in stories of articles published.

Guys, whom are you kidding ?? Do you think the US airforce will induct a modern state of the art technology of f16s that will lose against a mig 21, 9 out of 10 times ?? Do you think, the rest of the world will buy f16s if this is the result of the field trials. ??

Most importantly the modern advances in technology vis supersonic avionics, are specially designed to remove the advantages of the human element of a top pilot !

This is the same as in other areas of technology, the human smartness and brilliance will recede into the background over time! Even in science, the artificial intelligence will in time take over the human element.
