Lalit Modi, Raje conspired to convert govt property into luxury hotel, alleges Congress

NEW DELHI: Congress on Monday stepped up its attack on Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje and alleged that she and former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi were business partners.

The Congress on Monday alleged that former IPL chairman Lalit Modi and Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje conspired to convert the Dholpur Palace, a government property, into a luxury hotel, adding that they had documents to back their claims.

"The first thing that has been established is that the fugitive Lalit Modi and Vasundhara Raje are business partners. The second fact which has been established is that Lalit Modi got Rs 21 crore from Mauritius and invested in Dushyant Singh's company. The third fact is that Vasundhara Raje signed a seven page document for UK authorities to abet Lalit Modi. There have been three lies, three cover-ups by the BJP and Vasundhara Raje. But a crime is a crime. Do you excuse JJ, Raja, Maran, and others.
Is BJP personnel exempt from any and all crime, because they are Devas?

I have no axe to grind. If it is a crime the criminal should be prosecuted. In India sometimes it takes years. Look at Salman Khan trial.

I agree that in India at times, some of the cases involving celebrities are dragged on for decades proving that it is an uphill task.

In India at times getting justice rendered is becoming a mountain to climb.

Lot of reasons are attributed to such inordinate delay, like increase in number of legislation, vacancies of judges, adjournments, etc.

But the general public are smart enough to punish the Parties concerned by electing the Party of their choice, but this happens only in five years.

We all go by our national motto ‘Satyamev Jayate’.

Let us wait and see how this party reacts in this case.
