Karela Tikkis

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup grated karela
  • 1/4 cup grated carrot
  • 1 boiled potato, mashed
  • 20gm low fat paneer, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup boiled green peas, mashed

  • 2 slices whole wheat bread, crumbs
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 2 tsp oil

Method

  • Apply salt on the karela and keep it aside for sometime. Then squeeze the water out of it
  • Combine all the ingredients except oil in a bowl and mix well
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and make round tikkis
  • Cook them on a non stick pan with oil till golden brown on both sides
  • Serve hot with chutney
