Jaat has to be King..not president cos a president in India has technically not much political influence.
The PM in the Jaat King's court can be a Brahmin.

Well...is there a Parsi regiment in the Indian Army which is as fearless like the Jaat regiment?
I feel there is nothing wrong with Jaats protesting for their rights. After all one must understand the Jaat community distribution in various states..its not as if they are prosperous in every state.
When another community protest all anyone can see is violence,lack of brains etc but if a revolution starts in one's own community and the community starts to revolt....it would not be seen as violence but rather as Dharma of the Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya Glanir Bhavati kind and the leader would be hailed as the "Avatar".
I personally feel if you want something..even if you do not know why you want it..just go ahead..get it!

Whole of India on retrograde motion. Most of the forward cast wants to be treated as 'backward'. It couldn't happen any where else. People every where else wants to go forward and command respect. This cast system should end. It only serves to fight one another. Inter cast/religious marriages have become common these days and yet people are divided on the basis of cast. What a pity. One may argue that the cast based reservations are necessary to bring the under privileged upwards and at par with the other casts. But truly speaking if it could not become possible even after 69 years of independence, when is it going to happen? Is the needy among the downtrodden really enjoys the fruits of reservation?. The answer would be a big no as the benefits goes to the rich and affluent among the reserved categories who are positioned at proximity with power. That's why they did not want to do away the reservations. If this truth is spread among the people, I think there shall not be any problem to curtail this menace. Although the recent agitations have proved quite costly and resulted in loss of huge public property, it may also result in as an eye opener in this way...hope fully.

What is the method to abolish caste totally? Can you please suggest?
Reservations for each and every caste/religiion/sect/sub-sect is a new fad and a crutch being used by politicians to stay relevant and gain votes. What they dont realise is, for short-term gains they are sacrificing long-term riches.

Focusing on 'equal opportunity' and extraordinary effort to reach out to economically disadvantaged is better for a society.
Focusing on equal opportunity means looking for natural talent by changing the metrics of how such talent is identified and giving such people opportunities through training.
In any case it is misguided to think a group be given special status because they deserve it. Instead it has to be about advancing those that are disadvantaged. A focus on economically underprivileged will address many of the society's ill

That is why I proposed that every caste be declared OBC. In effect negating the quota system.

The lack of any established principles or credible data prompts demands for reservation such as those of the Patels and Jats.The solution lies in shuffling reserved categories.
It is only when Jats, Gujjars or Muslims demand reservation, and particularly when these demands become aggressive, that our political system suddenly wakes up and takes notice. However, this notice is simply confined to ascertaining whether the specific group demanding reservation is worthy of it or not. Little attention is paid to re-examining the global picture or viewing the conundrum of reservation holistically. Neither any established principles of positive discrimination nor the required data are available to tell us who deserves preferential policies and why.
The proportion of individuals identifying themselves as Other Backward Classes (OBCs) has steadily grown over the years. The National Sample Survey Office data show that in 1999-2000, about 36 per cent of the population fell in the self-identified OBC category; by 2011-12, this proportion had grown to 44 per cent. If combined with about 9 per cent of the Scheduled Tribe (ST) and 20 per cent of the Scheduled Caste (SC) population, the total proportion eligible for reservation comprises 73 per cent of the Indian population. If new claimants to the OBC category are added to this group, easily 80 per cent of Indians would be eligible for reservation of some kind. It would be impossible to provide effective benefits to this large a group. Thus, some choices within these categories will inevitably need to be made.
If we expect to phase out the reservation policy 100 years after Independence, the time for finding a long-term solution is clearly upon us, and we need to act now.
