My wife has been pestered for the last two weeks with the following message on her mobile phone. I have not received any such message. None of my friends have received such a message.

I would like to know whether this is a scam and how do get rid of this message.

It is a genuine message.
Whatsapp has updated their policy and will now include your phone number for ad serving if you don't opt out.
