Is it okay to perform upnayanam in Janma masam for eldest boy??

Hi,
My son's birthdate is June 5th, vaigasi masam.. I am planning to perform upanayanam for my son in summer. Is it okay to perform upanayanam in janma masam, because some people say ' no auspicious function is to be held on the janma nakshatra, janma varam (weekly day) and in the month Aani'. Then we can't do in Aadi also. Please advice..
