Your post # 3 - My guess is that this genius is in India - it is a Haryana Number Plate,
- probably a Re-registered Royal Enfield 350 cc [ more than 15 years old ] - they had the gear pedal on
the right side and the rear brake pedal on the left those days - as is in the picture.
They do all sorts of innovative things in Punjab & Haryana such as mounting a 500cc diesel engine [ Greaves]
on an Enfield bike frame, mounting an Enfield 350 cc on a land tiller or a home-made three wheeler which
is a popular mode of rural transport - known as Phat-Phati Gaadi.
Who knows, this chap might even have some solar panels on the roof! There is such a wide range of
contraptions to ferry people and merchandise - many of the 'unnecessary' irritants like horns / lights /
indicators / speedometer / fuel gauge are just done away with !
I have traveled in some of these 'Jaunty Jalopies' - they never skid off the road, climb any gradient,
never break-down in the middle of nowhere and where every part of the vehicle seems to compete
with every other part in making noise - on top of all this there would be perfectly sane conversations
between the occupants of the Phat-Phati !
They call it JUGAAD !
