This is grantham script used to write Sanskrit.

At the begining of the image you see these words
𑌗𑍍𑌰𑌨𑍍𑌥 𑌲𑌿𑌪𑌿 it says grantha lipi which means grantham script.

I read grantham script rather slowly and not as fast as Devanagari so I only translated the first two words for you.

hi

this is grantham lipi....we used this lipi in veda patashala.....we had vedic books in this lipi only...

now sanskrit books available...this is kind of dravidam and sanskrit...

This looks like some over enthusiastic dravidan has included tamil words in a majorly grantham text to somehow indicate that tamil existed during grantham days itself and is older than sanskrit.. ie the oldest goldest language is tamil.. The picture is itself false.. Its not a pic. Its a screenshot of typed text using multiple fonts.. ie.. grantham and tamil with the same underlying sentence.. Like typing a sentence in English and then changing a few alphabets to tamil script..

நீங்ga purinchiட்டிங்களா ...

what would u call the above.. tamil right?? because the sentence is essentially tamil which means -- did u understand.. but the typed font is now both tamil and english.. therefore are we supposed to understand that now english is also the oldest and goldest language?? Wrong. Am I right?

Please use your gray cells.. we already have a foreign origin poster posting long AI generated passages questioning long held cherished beliefs like - vedas / puranas and how their age predates the christian era and actually being unknown - on this forum.. we do not also want dravidian inaccurate representations which border on lies to also to be posted here.

Grantham is a script...its not a language.. its derived from Pallava script.
The Pallava script can be found in Malaysia too in ancient Hindu-Buddhist archaelogical sites as it was used to write ancient Malay.
The Pallava script too gave rise to current day script of Thailand.

Btw the screen shot image attached is indeed Grantham script where some alphabets resemble modern day Tamil and Malayalam.
Its not any one trying fo fit in Tamil into it.
I studied this script long back from a book I bought from an elderly Tamil Brahmin man from India.
He didnt even want to receive money from me and sent it to my house address saying he is happy that someone wants to learn Grantham script.
I paid him the amount on the book for his effort and dedication.

Dear Krishnan ji,
Take a look at the snap shot I attached.
It shows Grantham consonants.
Some of it looks similar to modern day Tamil.

Dear Renuka,

Sorry I did not login for sometime and did not see your posts.. I am very happy that you decided to do a deep dive and so brought out the grantham script. Its actually very encouraging to see that people (a few atleast) are aware and knowledgeable of its existence. But there are a few flaws in your statements.

Yes, its a script but.. it is supposed to be dated from around the origin of sanskrit which is far far older than pallava times.. Next, you have attached a seemingly authentic snapshot of the alphabets in the script to back up your thoughts on similarity to tamil. But the disagreement comes when you look at the pic attached by the original poster with tamil alphabets like tha and ya.. these are basically new generation tamil alphabets which are not really that old. The really old tamil script from the pallava age was actually very very different even though you still have similarities when it comes to certain aphabets where curves or straight lines are slightly extended or cut off. So yes, your snapshot attachment might really be authentic. But No. the actual poster with the first post in this thread did not post grantham.. he had basically typed tamil alphabets inbetween authentic grantham lipi with possible intentions behind it being as I had mentioned in my post.

I hope you see how much I agree with you only to disagree with a few critical areas.

Still.. It makes me very happy that someone (you) looked deeper into grantham.

These are my thoughts.. But if TBS or a-TBS comes out with a stand on this. I will just clam up. hahaha

Cheers
Krishnan

Hopefully TBS or a-TBS comes up with a reply to help you get a deeper understanding.
God willing.
