Incorrect statement... Mostly blue collar workers go to Middle East without their families! It is only the white collar workers who go with families to safer places in Middle East such as Dubai! To Saudi even officers hesitate to take their families!!
Both white and blue collar workers are ready to work with families in the West, and to a certain extent in African countries, but not in Islamic countries, as the customs are totally different.

i think in all countries in the list, except dubai, % of population, means permanent residents (may or may not be citizens).
in dubai, they are temporary residents, who are shipped back to their country of passport, when expedient for dubai, whatever form that may take ie either job loss, retirement or any such.
