Delhi riots aimed to gain foreign media attention

Now that the law and order situation in the troubled corner of Delhi has been brought under control, the process of recriminations and myth-making has begun. The latter is a more complicated phenomenon and will probably take years to unfold — depending on which of the breathless, gush-gush reporters who genuflected before the matrons of Shaheen Bagh is first off the mark with a quickie. In the old days, various grand-sounding bodies claiming to uphold civil liberties and democratic freedom usually published a report that would be flaunted as the authentic version of a political or natural disaster. But with video clips on social media telling the story, the appeal of ponderous reports blaming it all on a “fascist” conspiracy won’t enjoy too much popular traction.

It is a counter view when it is genuine.
It is a lame excuse when it is Parroting the oppressors' views.

Why did the Police commissioner of Delhi not punished for the inaction? Why was the honorable judge who voiced concern removed from the case? How did all the Goondas from outside the area were brought in without police knowing about it?

Why did the police attack the residents and not the perpetrators?
When the Inteligencia has been silenced, the media is scared and the common public is ignorant and nonchalant, only the oppressed can voice their opinion through social media or foreign press.

Western media is wrong: India isn’t losing its pluralistic ideas

This week’s editorial of the Guardian on recent violence in Delhi claims that “Modi stoked this fire.” Western media’s biases against democratically elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi is now a normal thing.
On December 13, 2019, the Washington Post published an analytical article titled “India’s new law may leave millions of Muslims without citizenship,” while the Economist in its edition of January 23 said: “Narendra Modi stokes division in the world’s biggest democracy.” In fact, the Guardian editorial had described last year’s democratic mandate as “bad for India’s soul.”

However, the image that Western media wants to portray about India is highly exaggerated. India’s new citizenship law, which they call “divisive,” isn’t actually divisive because it doesn’t snatch away the rights of any Indian citizen, including Indian Muslims. This law just aims to fasttrack the citizenship of those six religious minorities who came to India before 2015 from three Muslim majority countries – Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. Importantly, this amendment passed in the Indian parliament doesn’t alter the existing policy of naturalization, which is open for every legal immigrant irrespective of any religion.

The UP government released the tourism booklet, 'Uttar Pradesh Paryatan - Apaar Sambhavnayen', on World Tourism Day and did not feature Taj Mahal in it. The booklet, however, features the importance of the Ganga Aarti, pictures of CM Yogi Adityanath and tourism minister Rita Bahuguna, and two pages on the Gorakhdham temple. The cover of the booklet also features the Ganga Aarti and pictures of Yogi Adityanath and Rita Bahuguna on the first pages.
